So this is a dual POV that follows Ares and Raven. Ares is the eldest son of this very wealthy family and the CEO of a media production company. Raven is a gorgeous supermodel and fashion designer. Raven also happens to be in love with Ares, even though he happens to be her best friend's brother and her sister's fiance. Ares's family has a tradition that all the members of the Winston Family have an arranged marriage, and when Raven's sister gets cold feet, the wedding has to happen one way or another and Raven ends up walking down the aisle...

Safety: This one is probably Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferencesThe story starts with Raven, a gorgeous top model and a part of the Windsor family because of Sierra (her best friend). There is so much ANGST in this book... like to the extreme that it's mentioned as a "trigger warning" at the start of the book. I am pretty sure this is one of the factors that influenced why I loved this so much as I could physically feel the tension and emotional baggage these characters have and seeing how they dealt with their soap opera ridiculous life was predictable but entertaining. The beginning was so gut-wrenching for Raven and I basically was annoyed with Ares for most of that part.

The thing that upset me a lot when this book came out was being lied to by the author. In an fb group, someone asked if there was owd and she said no… 😐 Each time the sister came into their lives and he apologizes to her for marrying his wife I wanted to stab him in the face. 🔪

Likewise with Ares though he was honourable, assured and supported Raven each and every time after their marriage, I couldn’t forget that he loved, was engaged and was intimate with Raven’s sister before. There was so MUCH memories and things between them, that was witnessed by the heroine. I can’t say more without spoiling. It was a (slow burn 🔥) for those who like those types of stories,and fare warning; for those readers who happen to dislike those types of stories … as I’m aware there are plenty of you guys going around. And yet being one of the latter - as mentioned above, I can say there was saving graces of hints of sexiness all around to sate the parched pallet… fortunately, thank you Jesus 🙌🏾 🤭 What a weak “hero”. 🙄 we are told that he loves the sister so much that the thought of marrying his best friend (her sister) is insane to him. The Grandmother aka Puppet Master who not only directs which heroine hooks up with what hero, but makes outrageous demands…more later on her. Despite how everyone adores her, her demands may make her the most villainous of all. The title peeked my curiosity and although I was a little hesitant not knowing anything about writer Catharina Maura and her books, it was narrator extraordinaire Sebastian York that really drew me all the way in, Like authors please if you can't write the "it's always been you " trope correctly don't freaking write it at all you are ruining it , especially this author because she did it in Bittersweet Memories as well and ruined it there too
