According to a survey carried out by the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS) in 2019 with a sample size of 300, 51.0% of the surveyed people described themselves as non-practising Catholic, 24.0% as practising Catholic, 6.7% as indifferent/non-believer, 5.0% as agnostic, 4.3% as atheist and 2.3% as "other religions", while a 6.7% did not answer. [50] Immigration [ edit ] Also, there can sometimes be cold periods. On the coldest nights of the year, the temperature typically drops to -4/-5 °C (23/25 °F). The extreme minimum is -11.5 °C (11.5 °F) and was recorded in February 1963. From 2000 to 2020, the temperature dropped to -9.5 °C (15 °F) in December 2001. Really nice post! I live in Zaragoza and I recomend you visit a narrow street near "El Pilar" named "calle Pedro Atares". It is a very short street where you can find a really nice grafitti from the first festival of Asalto. There is a big, big fish hanging from a house. It is quite impressive to see it and overall take pictures! The arrow shows the average direction of the waves 1-2 miles out to sea. It indicates how sheltered the June is generally a warm to hot month. However, there are remarkable differences between night and day. The average temperature is of 22.9 °C (73 °F), with a minimum of 15.8 °C (60.4 °F) and a maximum of 30 °C (86.1 °F).

You can also choose among the many cultural venues, exhibition rooms and museums/monuments found in the city to satisfy our cultural curiosity: the Museum of Zaragoza (with archaeological items from the province of Zaragoza and an important Goya collection, among other pieces), the Museum of Natural Sciences, the Patio de la Infanta (room of the old Zaporta house-palace), the Caixaforum or the Real Maestranza de Caballería, among others. The summer, from June to August or early September, is very hot and sunny, with rare thunderstorms. When cool air from the Atlantic manages to enter the Ebro Valley, there can be windy days, with highs below 30 °C (86 °F), and quite cool nights. On the coldest nights, which normally occur at the beginning of the month, the temperature usually drops to around 0.5 °C (32.5 °F). However, it dropped to -6 °C (21.2 °F) in March 2005. The Roman core of Caesaraugusta was founded on the right bank of the Ebro, with the north-east corner limiting the confluence of the Ebro with the Huerva river, a modest right-bank tributary of the Ebro. [44] The Huerva runs through the city buried for much of its lower course. [45] Zaragoza is also located near the confluence of the Ebro with the Gállego, a more voluminous left-bank tributary born in the Pyrenees. [46] Climate [ edit ]On the coldest nights, which normally occur at the end of the month, the temperature usually drops to around 5 °C (41 °F). However, it dropped to 1 °C (33.8 °F) in October 1996. This number shows the air temperature for the time period. You can see the temperature in Celsius or On 18 December 1118, Alfonso I of Aragon conquered the city from the Almoravids, [14] and made it the capital of the Kingdom of Aragon. [15] The aforementioned monarch created a jurisdictional dominion in the city, which was gifted to Gaston of Béarn. [16] The city remained a lordship up until the early 13th century. Precipitation is estimated from radar and satellites. Precipitation estimates from satellites are less accurate at night than during daytime. The climate of Zaragoza is continentalized Mediterranean, with quite mild winters (but with some cold periods) and hot, sunny summers. The rains are scarce. Centro, Casco Histórico, Delicias, Universidad, San José, Las Fuentes, La Almozara, Oliver-Valdefierro, Torrero-La Paz, Actur-Rey Fernando, El Rabal, Casablanca, Santa Isabel, Miralbueno, Sur, Distrito Rural My second recommendation is to go to La Despensa Montal in Plaza de San Felipe, this is a very nice restaurant with outside seating in the plaza and also seating inside. Depending on the night of the week you are in Zaragoza you may need to make a reservation, especially on a Saturday, and the tourist office could help you with this. Montal is very popular with locals and is pretty upmarket so it’s perfect if you feel like dressing up and going out for a nice sit-down dinner.Zaragoza hosted Expo 2008 in the summer of 2008, a world's fair on water and sustainable development. It was also a candidate for the European Capital of Culture in 2012. The city did not suffer any decline during the last centuries of the Roman empire and was captured peacefully by the Goths in the fifth century AD. [4]
