Established by Kaplan in 2017, ACE Entertainment is responsible for all three films in the hit Netflix franchise, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, as well as the feature Hello, Goodbye and Everything In Between acquired by Netflix earlier this year, and the upcoming film The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, which will also debut on Netflix. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network. It's strange that only Africa continues to be named by the continent all through the book but the little towns and cities in London and Miami are properly named. I can’t thank you enough, this book, I just loved everything about it 🥺 Laura Taylor Namey is, with every book, becoming one of my favorite authors ever! I just loved her so much and found myself relating to her and her struggles every now and then, which made this read even more of a hit, for me.

Cozier than a hand-knit gray cardigan and richer than Abuela’s pastelito recipe, Namey takes you from Miami to Winchester, and leaves your heart belonging to both. Worried about Lila’s mental health, her parents make a new plan for her: spend three months with family friends in Winchester, England, to relax and reset.

While I’m on my experience of Cuban families, it was very odd to me that Lila never mentions the Cuban Revolution when she talks about her abuela’s life.

Laura Taylor Namey is the New York Times and internationally bestselling author of young adult fiction including Reese’s Book Club pick A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, A British Girl’s Guide to Hurricanes and Heartbreak, When We Were Them, and With Love, Echo Park.In the beginning you can understand her frustrations in being forced to leave her Miami life and her cherished family bakery. I adored this sugar-sweet novel that made me laugh, cry and wish on a happy ending for a girl with big dreams and a star-named boy. I adored the side-characters, Jules in particular, and loved the addition of music and Spanish language throughout— esto fue hermoso.

I'm a voracious reader from North Carolina currently traveling the United States with my husband and reviewing books as the mood strikes. They tease each other but they always know exactly the right thing to say and do at exactly the right time.Except no amount of food and family could heal my heartbreak, so like a plotline from one of Mami’s telenovelas, they tricked me instead.
