lt;li>Damaged area must be clean, dry and free from grease. Remove loose pieces and rust.
Bought this as one of those 'add to your basket' items when purchasing some new taps and wouldn't be without it now. All my traps look like new after using this and it's got rid of the limescale marks and residue. We live in a really hard water area and nothing usually shifts the marks but this has. I've been trying to find a satisfactory way to repair a chipped area of enamel in a steel bath. The difficulty is that it's at the bottom of the bath next to the plughole so is constantly getting wet. One of my friends is a double glazier of 20 years and even he was surprised how easy Fui's are to use and the qualtiy of the finish! The kit can be applied for up to seven average size repairs: 2 components: filling compound with hardener, spatula, sand paper for the repair of ceramic, enamel and acrylic surfaces, repair spray.

We both know exactly where it was, but struggle to find it! Excellent product which saved us a fortune if the bat had to be replaced, I can recommend this product, it worked very well for us.I've always used a wet finger to finish off the profile and wasted lots of sealant and paper towel. The Cramer Profiling kit works really well, it provides a very even smooth finish and allows you to patch over areas while the sealant is wet. I wish I'd bought a set years ago. It cleans off excess sealant from tiles and floor and the tools wipe off easily with newspaper and final rub with paper towel. The only thing that I would caution against is using the saw tooth tool to remove old silicone because if, like me, you are not in complete control of it you can scratch other surfaces very easily. I resorted to using a sharp wood chisel to remove the rest of the old silicone.

One problem we have is that the it's our only bath and shower, so we do need to use it daily and removal of the waste pipe furniture for any prolonged period of time isn't therefore practical. The chip is right on an outside edge next to the plughole so would also be difficult to cover up while the paint is setting. I did the repair in the morning after the bath had been used and applied the first coat of paint as soon as it had set (using a hairdryer to speed up the process) so the paint had nearly 24 hours to dry, and we were careful to use the shower as little as possible for a few days. I sprayed on two more coats of paint on successive mornings after we had finished with the shower. Brilliant worked wonders on my taps they look brand new I would recommend this spray it’s fabulous thankyou plumbworld Extremely competitively priced at Plumbworld. A must have for a very professional finish. Various profiles and sizes. Results were remarkable! alan_m - I didn't actually see the repair come off but guess that as it went from OK to chip exposed again near-instantaneously it must have come off in one piece rather than from the outside, so most likely better preparation is needed. I didn't treat the surface as the metal was exposed and appeared to have a fairly rough texture and to be in good condition so I just cleaned it with IPA cleaner, but I guess I should have cleaned it better at least. There is now a small amount of rust visible so I'll have to sand it off before filling again.lt;li>For long-lasting repairs of impact damage and flaking on washbasins, kitchen sinks, shower trays and bath tubs with enamel, ceramic (porcelain) and acrylic surfaces.
One problem is that the filler and hardener have to be mixed in a ratio of 30:1. This is very difficult to judge particularly when mixing a small amount. Some form of measure would be useful. It took ages to decide to buy this product, after a mystery chip appeared in the new bath - it wasn't me guv! I used the product to repair a small gouge/scratch on a fiberglass bath. The damaced area is now as good as new with no sign of a repair.

For the repair of impact damage and flaking on washbasins, kitchen sinks, shower trays and bath tubs with enamel, ceramic (porcelain) and acrylic surfaces. I was advised by the manufacturer to put masking tape around the damaged area before using the filler to prevent over spread and oversanding on the small repair and this worked well. This advise is not included in the instructions. lt;li>The kit can be applied for up to seven average size repairs: 2 components: filling compound with hardener, spatula, sand paper for the repair of ceramic, enamel and acrylic surfaces, repair spray.
Wife caused a small chip in our recently installed bath, with this touch up kit and a few days putting on a layer at a time there is no way you can tell where the chip was.
