Our bari player has been using one of these for a couple of years and it´s been working well enough for him. It sounds ok and feels pretty robust, at least for the price. My main objections are the clip, which seems a bit wobbly (at least compared to my AKG), and the battery, which is replaceable but unfortunately not standard AA or AAA. The receiver is also really compact. You can see there’s a charging point on the side for if you wanted to plug it in directly. Of course, though, the receiver charges in the case. There’s an indicator on the top to show you that it’s connected, and it has a standard XLR connector, which would go straight into your mixer or into your audio interface. B-6 wireless system allows the Saxophone players to move freely without worrying about stepping away too far from their microphone stand. With an operation range of 20 meters, the NUX B-6 wireless system for Saxophone can significantly improve your performance convenience. If you’re using one of these already, please let me know what you think about it because I’m always trying to test things to help our thousands of Sax School members. So any info that you can share with us, we’d really appreciate it. Making progress on your saxophone We offer a range of finance options including 24-month and 36-month. Now you can get the latest clarinet, cornet, saxophone, trumpet or tuba and not feel the burden of paying all at once, or saving for months and finding it is sold out!

NUX B6 Wireless System For Saxophone - Band Supplies UK

The transmitter of NUX B-6 comes with a flexible yet sturdy rubber-wrapped clamp mechanism. It can be attached to the bell of different types of Saxophones firmly. Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error Inherited from the NUX B-5RC, the NUX B-6 wireless system for Saxophone also comes with a storage case that can charge both the transmitter and receiver simultaneously, provides up to 15 hours of extra battery life.

I’m actually really impressed with the sound of this microphone, but I have got a few effects on there. And if you take the effects off, you can hear a little bit of key noise. Listen again as I demo this. My Verdict There is no compromise when it comes to audio quality. NUX B-6 delivers professional, high-resolution 24- bit/44.1kHz audio, and the frequency response range is 20Hz - 20kHz. The AMT mics are worth the money, though. I still use their old Roam Elite, which is pretty ancient at this point, but the new line is called Quantum, and they're really excellent. The NUX B-6 wireless system for Saxophones has three dedicated modes. Each mode comes with an optimal EQ curve for the Soprano Saxophone, the Alto Saxophone and the Tenor Saxophone. To switch among different modes, simply press the POWER/SCENE button on the transmitter. There is no compromises when it comes to audio quality. We don’t have to worry about extra plugin devices and cables and all that sort of stuff. And I love the fact that it charges in the case . I’m all about keeping things really simple, and I think that’s what this microphone does. And it sounds pretty good too. I've had a look around the existing threads, but they are all pretty old and the banner at the bottom of each thread advised me to create a new one. It’s got these inbuilt “scenes” or EQ settings, depending on which saxophone that you’re playing on. The green light indicates that it’s set up for tenor saxophone. There’s a little button to change it to red for alto saxophone, or yellow for soprano saxophone.

C-5RC also comes with a portable Power Case to keep the wireless units charged – ideal design for when you are on the road. So today’s lesson I’m recording for Sax School is the Leonard Cohen tune Hallelujah. Let’s have a listen to what sounds like. I’ve not seen that feature on any other wireless microphone system, and certainly not in this price range. This is a pretty cool feature and I’ll definitely be playing around with this a bit more to see how it affects the sound and if it’s really noticeable. Final Thoughts It’s really easy to clip the mic onto your sax using the integrated clip. It’s simple and quite secure. And actually this wireless sax mic compares really well to other models I’ve used. For example, my main touring wireless microphone is the much more expensive AMT Wi-5, which has a very secure clamp, but it’s much more industrial-looking and clumsy.

SuttonMusic Centre Ltd. is part of the Take It Away scheme and offers interest-free credit. Credit subject to status and affordability. Terms and Conditions Apply. My band uses AMT (a couple of AMT Q7-LS MINI and a AMT Quantum 7 Wireless System with mics) -- they're honestly overpriced, but arguably some of the best out there.

There is no compromises when it comes to audio quality. NUX B-6 delivers professional, high-resolution 24- Well right out the gate, the first thing that really impressed me was the size. Look how compact it is. Now there’s a little on and off switch on the side of the receiver so when we press that on, the red indicator comes on to show that it’s working. And then there’s another on/off switch on the side of the microphone. When I press and hold that down, you can see the light comes on. And when the two things are connected, they both turn green so you know that we’re all good to go and everything’s working. Setting up the Wireless Sax Mic That’s actually pretty good. There’s a little bit of key noise in there, but you get that on any wireless microphone and even with my really expensive, fancy microphone, I do get a bit of key noise.
