this pressing is gorgeous, but a lot of people have experienced pops/surface noises and so have I:( But I believe there have been pressing that r completely okay. I'm aware of inner groove distortion being a thing, but this goes way beyond what I observe on other records, even records that have much longer running times than this one has. She closes with a spare cover of Nina Simone's 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood' that's as elegant and fragile as anything you'll hear all year. Compared to the Europe edition, "LANA DEL REY" and "HONEYMOON" have gloss lettering on the cover of this edition. Someone reported non-fill issues at the start of side A and D on one of the other pressings, so I suspect it's the same issue showing up here. I also experienced alot of surface noise but my copy is almost dead quiet after 4-5 deep cleans, so just don't give up on this one as it seems to attract dirt with how dirty my stylus gets playing this. Anyone who has had the pleasure of seeing Jalen perform live knows that he is one of the most captivating performers on today's soul scene. The EU red copy I have has a few pops and ticks, nothing major, and seems to respond to cleaning so may become even better with a few more cleans.It did came with a lot of dust surprisingly but the sound was quite good, I did hear some pops when I first played it but it quickly stopped to make space to Lana's voice and hauntingly notes. The track opens with a mesmerizing interplay between piano and bass, creating a syncopated groove that immediately draws you in. High By The Beach and Religion in particular are stunning, along with Salvatore and 24, but the quality of this pressing ruins it. The only thing that is good is the excellent packaging that is well spaced for the records (sleeves), the booklet is really gorgeous.

The standard black pressing sounds amazing and, contrary to what was said about the red pressing, is well pressed and accentuates the silence and quietness of the album. Both of my records came with lots of visible debris, but only side D had an uncomfortable amount of surface noise at points as well as a scuff on The Blackest Day that makes a scratching noise. The album itself is fantastic and the presentation is great too with the booklet and such that are included, definitely my favorite Lana album!I will say this sounds much better than my other two copies, an original 2015 standard black pressing and the highly coveted UO exclusive (both sound absolutely horrible) The Original 2015 pressing has reflective text on the jacket which is a nice feature that this re issue doesn’t have.
