Caught Up" is an amazing follow up and instalment to the "Windy City Series" and I am here for all of it!! God, his mouth. Dirty talk does it for me regardless, but coming from Ryan, the man who only speaks when the words are needing to be heard, it hits differently. (SAME INDY, SAME) Evan Zanders is unfiltered, unapologetic, and too attractive for his own good. He loves his image, but I hate everything about it. Like the things he did for her????? Learning sign language because her dad is deaf? Open up to her about his past traumas?? Reading her romance books??? ADAPTING HIS LOVE LANGUAGE TO WHICHEVER SHE PREFERS AND WANTS?!?!?!

i honestly have no words for this story. i have too many words. ugh, i just loved it and them so so much. first, it starts out as a little grumpy sunshine because kai is so overprotective of his son and is VERY skeptical about miller’s abilities but over time, he falls head over heels and spends the rest of the time trying to convince her she has a place with them. Miller + Kai + Max = everything. The romance between the couple is perfect, the relationship between Kai and his son was the most beautiful and heartwarming, and don’t even get me started on the bond that Miller develops with Max. It’s the best thing ever. When Max finally gets her name out, and instead of Miller its Mama he’s trying to say… I bawled honestly this is everything I want in a romance. I’ll take no criticism with this book it’s as close to perfect as they come.i’m not gonna give this book a five star despite all my rambling about how much i loved it, and the answer is pretty simple; I don’t think it deserves a five star i’m trying to be a little more critical, and not give five stars out like candy on halloween. i can’t give you an exact reason to why this wasn’t a five star for me, other than i don’t feel like it deserves a five star. it was very predictable, and the writing was very normal and not anything special. i’d say read this book if you liked the first two in the series, if not then don’t <3 I love Indy so much!! She’s literally one of my favorite F.M.C. right next to Stevie. Indy is iconic, funny as hell and honestly reading about her life is so refreshing and fun. She’s basically one of us if we ever got written in a book. She’s a romance reader, loves iced coffee and flowers, vegetarian and her style is by far the best I’ve read from a fictional character! She also had such a great personality. The way she’s so caring and just wants to t You have Indy who wants to be shown love and Ryan does that+ so much more, but then you have Ryan who wants to be wanted for who he is as a person and Indy shows him exactly that. They are perfection, their chemistry was through the roof and you just see these two people and can feel in every part of you that they are just made for each other. They way they showed up for each other, learned one another’s love language and put it into action, like please sedate me, it was the sweetest thing ever!!! Also, I feel like there needed to be a few more specific scenes between Miller and Kai. There was a lot of internal monologuing and not as many real intimate moments as I think there needed to be to really feel the connection between them. I’m the newest Captain of the Devils, Chicago’s NBA team, and the last thing I needed this year was for Indy Ivers, my sister’s best friend, to move into my apartment. She’s messy, emotional, and way too tempting.

Isaiah on the other hand… I’m about to sue that man for sexual harassment on Kennedy’s behalf. I was so grossed out by his behavior towards her and I can't believe they're getting paired together in the next book. perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfectAnd if you love forced proximity and/or fake dating, this is your book. Ryan and Indy are roommates who agree to fake date for their own reasons. It'll help Ryan show the team's general manager that he actually has a work/life balance and isn't a recluse, and it'll mean Indy has a date to her friend's wedding where her ex will be at. And who is this?” Kai’s eyes linger on the woman at my side… in a you’re one of the most beautiful women I’ve had the pleasure to lay eyes on way. i’m so disappointed and kind of sad that i didn’t love and enjoy this book as much as i wanted to. all the right ingredients were present to depict the perfect romance and with author’s writing i had no doubt that i would literally devour this story. my problem is; i felt no spark between the protagonists, no chemistry or alchemy. i didn’t root for them. i didn’t hate them but i didn’t love them either. everything felt bland for at least the first 70% of the plot but the 30% left got me all the feels and i wish it was sufficient to say i enjoyed this book. Indy is a girl with simple dreams: create a family to love and live happily ever after. His boyfriend had other plans-plans that involved another girl and a bed. Heartbroken and without a place to stay, Indy finds herself sharing a flat with her best friend’s brother, Ryan Shay, who seems to be counting down the days to be alone again. Why is it so difficult to find people to share her love with? Getting to know Ryan as more than just his relationship with Stevie was very special and makes what we see of him in Mile High all the more sentimental. I love the protective nature of him at the same time that he is so supportive and uplifting at the same time. Indy has my whole heart. I want her to be my best friend. Her struggle to discover where she fits in outside of the life she’s known before, knowing her worth and accepting no less than what she deserves, has been absolute perfection. She is such a relatable character. Not spoiling anything, just meet that hot book girl – she’s one of us 😉

I will put her first. I will give her the life she’s always dreamed of. I will make sure she knows how special she is, that she doesn’t need to put on the show for everyone else. I like her chaotic and emotional. I like her messy. What I Struggled With Again, this is the best series I’ve ever read!!! I honestly thought the second book wouldn’t live up to the first one but boy was I wrong. The connection I have with every single character in this story is very concerning and I probably should talk to someone after this because it felt all too real. I’ve been living and breathing this entire series for the past week and the disassociation from everything is real. I need a movie or something, GOD, give me anything!! I want more, I NEED MORE. I’ve got to believe that there’s more than what I had, if you can even call that love anymore. And that’s exciting, hopeful even, to believe there’s better out there. Call me a dreamer. Call me naive, I don’t care. I call myself optimistic. Summary I related so much with Indy about her people pleasing habits and some other things (most things actually except her love for hosting and being such an extrovert), so maybe that made this book stand out even more to me.

OK Ryan Shay?? Let's talk gestures. I swooned over the tiny detail that after she casually mentioned her favorite color was lavender, not only did he buy her a bed for the guest room but he specifically bought her lavender colored sheets. So you can only imagine how my heart just continued doubling in size when it was revealed he learned sign language to talk to her dad (a bare minimum expectation according to Ryan!) AND had paid for her egg retrieval before they had even admitted their real feelings for each other! The way he "loves quietly" was so moving to me. Rayan accepted Indigo with all the nuances of her personality, the heartbreaking yet hopeless romantic. The hot blond with a cheerful personality and a high IQ. With all the scars that came with her traumatic, last relationship.

Basketball aside, Ryan Shay’s wildest dreams align with Indy’s, but he is determined to leave the dating for when he retires, when meeting a girl who loves him for who he is will be safer. Everything in his life is well-planed, controlled and very lonely. I understood Ryan. Trusting people is difficult enough for average people like me, I would also disappear from the face of the earth if I were him. Again the found family just does it for me! I loved seeing the friendship Indy had with Rio and Zanders! That was definitely new and it’s adorable asf!If I’m going to even consider taking you to this wedding, I’m going to need to turn you into one of my book boyfriends first.” That earns a raised brow. When she's not traveling or writing, Liz can be found reading a good book or taking her Golden Retriever, Luke, on a hike in her hometown in Sonoma County, CA. Liz Tomforde writes sports romance novels that depict realistic and healthy relationships. Her books offer a mix of witty banter and real-life struggles. Her heroes are alpha yet vulnerable, and her heroines are strong. I LOVE THIS BOOK WITH ALL OF MY HEART. I was so emotional when finishing because I just didn’t want it to end.
