Description

For my in-dash CD player, I used the material used for wiping spectacle glasses and I think it works. The damn plastic crap in the dash cracking and busting little cheap plastic clips is what makes it a pain in the ass, and often worth paying someone. If the CD drive is tray-loaded, open the tray and disconnect the power cable without switching it off from the power button.

If you can access the turning mirror (a small piece of glass), clean it the same way you cleaned the lens. some screws until the CD works again, and fixate the screws with some kind of glue/paint/polish stuff so they won't turn again.Plus it is very powerful and can end up just redistributing dust and goodness knows what from inside the player all over the lens again! Those coatings are there in cameras because you can take pictures against the source of light (sun). Dust and dirt on the lens of your CD/DVD/Blu-ray player will degrade the quality of the sound produced and can also cause skipping audio as the laser struggles to focus through the dust of the lens.

Even then, it's unlikely to do so unless you put your eye quite close, or stare at it for a long time.Immediate improvement to teh sound and the skipping and repeating I had been experiencing has stopped. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Insert it in the DVD player, press "Play" and the CD head cleaner would remove all dirt and dust safely and easily. Any attempt to clean the lens with cotton bud or similar is likely to result in scratches and possibly push the laser from proper alignment. Tease the end out slightly and lightly moisten (not wet), then gently clean the lens using a slow spinning action on the bud.If you are using a cotton ball, just glue the ball onto the CD, then pull and leave some cotton adhered to the CD (it should work the same). There is no difference in most lens cleaners made nowadays, as most are designed to clean CD, DVD, Blue-ray, and other CD or DVD lens types. If your CD player still won't work, you can try to disassemble it even more and examine other parts.
