The service rejects the pathologisation of their clients, and does not support the pathologisation of responses to human trauma. The service is well-informed, well-educated and provides an evidence-based approach to trauma, distress, abuse, harm, and oppression. Peer review was undertaken in February and March 2023 with 30 clinicians, professionals, academics and those with lived experience of trauma. The authors are high achieving academics with a vast amount of experience working directly supporting with people who have experienced trauma.
