It is a bold and sensual fragrance that opens with top notes of bergamot, grapefruit, and black pepper, which give it a refreshing and invigorating feel. The opening on skin is as you would expect - a massive dose of alcohol, a super strong green and herbal rosemary, and a tinge of lavender and petitgrain.

This fragrance reminds me of that soda so much so that in the first hour its like sticking my nose directly in a can of the aforementioned drink (plus the lavander nouance). Way more rounded, far more lavender forward, close to no 'metallic' undertone, way less sharp and to top it all off performance went to zero. The fragrance opens with a blend of lemon and tomato leaves which gives way to a cocoa pod heart dwelling on a base of vetiver, cedar and musk. I also have Alexandria Fragrances Old Story which is another inspired fragrance of the original and l find that one to be good as well. If you've ever smelled Platinum Egoiste, you'll recognize the essentials in Legesi right from the first spray - the herbal rosemary, the smooth lavender, the green galbanum and subtley piney cedarwood.It smells like it's in range of Calvin Klein perfumes but with a better performance and a slightly better quality.

The downside to me is, it comes across as synthetic and believe me i rarely, if ever, use this word. I would put Legesi slightly edging out Eau de Passion on the opening as Eau de Passion has a very odd sour thing to it that I don't like (but it dies down around 5 or so minutes in). It opens up with notes of litchi, lemon, peach and bergamot, followed by a heart of jasmine, cinnamon, apple and lily of the valley before drying down on a base of musk, cedar and sandalwood. I just received this a few days ago and it does smell similar to egoiste platinum but it seems very weak.

Instead of drying down to some modern, sweet generic nonsense greatly favoured by this generation's compliment-seeking douchebag, it takes a turn toward the vintage soapiness of yesteryear's distinguished gentleman - the mature, yet still youthful husband, father and teacher.
