He has appeared in all of Michael Bay's Transformers films as well as the reboot Bumblebee film, albeit he is completely redesigned in appearance. He was more of his G1 counterpart, his vehicle mode being a Freightliner fl86, equipped with his signature ion blaster. Though it may be the only weapon we see in the movie, he does have many more. Along with his ending scene in Bumblebee, Optimus Prime had his trailer like in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Prime (voiced by Cullen, but not animated by ILM) appeared to promote a NASA competition to vote for videos made by children about NASA's impact on commonplace technology. [4] During his time off, Optimus went on a road trip across the UK with a hitchhiker. Direct Line commercial A Revenge of the Fallen toy commercial for the figures of the main cast. Revenge of the Fallen movie characters toy commercial In Japan, Ultimate Optimus Prime comes with a character card and an accompanying transparent plastic card of his MechTech weapon for the MechTech Wars online game.

At the end of Bumblebee Optimus has a trailer with him, but in Rise of the Beasts he no longer has it. Optimus then returned to America in Stratosphere with the other Autobots and the humans, having found the ability to trust in them should they face any future threats. On July 6, 2009, Optimus appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman to declare the "Top Ten Things That Sound Cool When Said By A Giant Robot". Optimus said it was nice to be there, although David was clearly concerned with having a 28-foot tall robot in the studio because of a bad history of robots messing up the place, and during the presentation Letterman decided there was something about Prime he didn't like. Anyway, the top ten was: Original Trilogy Optimus Prime. One of the few designs from the movies I actually like. It does still have the issue of looking overly complex which is why it's not at the top of my list anymore but it's still a pretty decent design. I'm going to give honorable mentions to Jet Prime and Trailer Prime here but the base Optimus stays basically the same for all three movies not including those power ups. Resting in a nearby village that was aware of the existence of the Maximals, Optimus looked over the lifeless body of Bumblebee once more, with Primal stating that there was raw Energon in the area, but it was inert and would not be able to restore Bumblebee in the state it was in. Optimus then discussed the matter of the humans with Optimus Primal, the Maximal leader stating that all life mattered to them, while also finding that the humans are able to be trusted.By showing even one such as him the power of mercy, Megatron might realize that we'll never give up, no matter the cost. Optimus Prime, Cyber Missions #12

You've probably heard the buzz, but Bumblebee is kind of a big deal. And now the bodacious bot is making his mark with a line of some of the most buzzworthy Transformers action figures for boys, girls, and fans of all ages. See what all the buzz is about, only at Target. This figure was only made available as a store exclusive in parts of Europe, at least in the United Kingdom (at Argos) and Germany (at Rossmann drug stores). Later, Optimus, along with Bumblebee, saved Sam from Megatron by killing both Scalpel in the building and Grindor during the battle in the forest. However, he was killed by Megatron. Optimus, under the guise of a simple hibachi chef, was forced to fight Megatron at his place of work. Hibachi Chef While searching for the Creator, Optimus arrived on Paradron to refuel on Energon, but was denied by a Gyronian Sentry and his pet Guard Cats. Optimus explained his past to the Sentry, who was not impressed, demanding a passcode. The passcode was written in Old Cybertronian, but the gate didn't open even with a decoder. Prime and Sentry's egos clashed, causing a fight to break out. Optimus tried directly inserting the decoder into the door, with the passcode: "In Primus We Trust". The door opened, allowing Optimus to drink half of the Energon, giving the other half to Sentry. Optimus told Sentry he did a good job, relieved him of his guard duties, and flew off into space. The moment was short lived, as Megatron flew in to steal the staff and the Knights arrived to slay Optimus for serving "Quintessa the Deceiver". While Optimus offered no resistance, viewing his execution as proper atonement, Cade managed to activate the Talisman and call off the Knights. Optimus then allied with the Knights and they flew off in the Knight Ship to confront Megatron and Quintessa on Cybertron. Arriving on Dragonstorm, Optimus finally destroyed Infernocus by decapitating all six Infernocons in a single mighty swing of his sword, reminding them that he was Optimus Prime.

Optimus was known to team up with Comettor for lunar missions. Optimus Prime & Comettor It was on the lunar surface that lost Autobot leader Sentinel Prime was found, and the team-up of these two Primes meant the Decepticons didn't stand a chance! Walmart Deluxe Optimus PrimeOptimus had a mentor by Sentinel Prime, the last Prime before him, and eventually became the leader of the Cybertronian scientific division, while Megatron became Lord High Protector of Cybertron. When Megatron was corrupted by The Fallen and formed the Decepticons, Optimus rose up against him in a vicious war. He likes to defeat innocent fictional characters, because he works with the bad fictional characters and evil space extraterrestrials. Optimus Prime was grateful to First Aid for retrieving Metroplex's transformation cog, but also confused that he was treating the injuries of his enemies, the Combaticons. Bad at Fighting? Rescue Team Protectobots, Dispatch! At one point, Optimus Prime defeated Megatron in battle only to be approached by Airachnid, who buttered him up and offered to join the Autobots. Embarrassed by her intimate advance, Optimus was too distracted to notice Megatron recovering and ended up blasted in the behind. The Beautiful Flower Has Thorns? Temptation of the Female Soldier, Airachnid! Joined by two lookalikes, " ML Convoy" and " EXILE Convoy", he later helped Jazz out in a musical battle with Soundwave. Soundwave's Trap? Stop Operation Brainwash Humanity!

The Sword of Judgement included with this toy is the same mold as the weapon included with the Age of Extinction leader class Optimus, but cast in flat grey rubbery plastic rather than the transparent plastic and paint operations of the initial release. This Optimus Prime erroneously features blue paint on his feet instead of the screen-accurate red. In the director's commentary of the 2007 Transformers DVD, Michael Bay said that he had told the animators to seek inspiration from Liam Neeson in creating Optimus Prime's body language. Awesome. Trans-scanning Optimus Prime is a Japanese-exclusive figure with many interchangeable parts. At its most basic, the figure is a spindly skeleton referred to as a " core body". To this skeleton, two sets of armor pieces can be attached to create one of two forms for Optimus Prime: his protoform mode or his Earth mode.Aaron Archer designed this toy in a single day; it was the last toy he personally worked on. He prefers the redeco from The Last Knight. [1] This toy was repurposed as a member of the Dynasty of Primes in Tales of the Fallen #4. His alternate mode served as a basis for the Vok Novaroids for The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 5: LG-EX Big Powered Prologue Part Two.
