And what’s more, the upgrade sprue that comes with these guys ensures that even if you own a unit or regular Hearthkyn Warriors, you’re unlikely to build the same model twice. The current season of Kill Team comes to its conclusion this set . In Kill Team: Gallowfall, the Leagues of Votann clash and the Chaos Beastmen clash as they try to flee the collapsing Space Hulk Gallowfall as it plunges towards a planet, unable to sustain itself drifting through space any longer. Whether or not you’ve been a fan of this current season of Kill Team, this is perhaps the most exciting aspect of this release: that we’ll be seeing something new very, very soon! Warhammer 40,000 Kill Team: Gallowfall Review – Unboxing

As well as providing impromptu cover in a pinch, this new terrain features heavily in the missions. For instance, you’ll fight over the few remaining escape pods and survive the rapidly disintegrating environment in Escape the Hulk . These pods can only be jettisoned from the outside, leaving your kill team to draw straws to find out who gets to fly free and who needs to hold down the controls. Between them stand the vicious Fellgor Ravagers, beastmen who called the Gallowdark home long before the advent of its recent interlopers. Time is rapidly running out for these would-be rescuers, and the devastation should the space hulk make impact with the planet would be immeasurable. There are more expansion boxes on the way too – each containing two full kill teams, more unique terrain, new missions, and new rules. We’ve intercepted secret transmissions from the Warhammer Design Studio, and can reveal their names to you right now. As I’ve mentioned, the basic Hearthkyn Warriors kit has plenty of options already. Together with the new upgrade sprue, you can choose between very many different types of operatives. (11 in total). For whatever reason, however, even in Kill Team you cannot give regular Hearthkyn Warriors pistols and melee weapons, even though the kit is full of them. Players assemble and paint their own Kill Team, choosing from a wide range of different factions and unit types, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The game uses a system of dice rolls to determine the outcome of actions, and players must use strategic thinking and tactical planning to outmaneuver their opponents and achieve victory.

I made no secret of it when we reviewed the Leagues of Votann Army Set – I am a big fan of Warhammer 40,000’s newest faction. I love the look of them, and think they’re bags of fun. There’s also tons of diversity across the armies too, with faces representing a mix of ethnicities and genders. What’s more, there are absolutely loads of build options too, so tons of opportunities to personalise your figures.

What’s interesting is that the Fellgor Ravagers come on two medium size sprues, which build a ten model squad with basic wargear only, plus a small upgrade sprue that has all the parts for the Kill Team specific operatives. The base size is 32mm across the board. Fellgor Ravagers main sprues
