The bottle seems very cool to me, it brings to my mind a gothic corset. The box is certainly another story, made with that oriental deluxe style that sometimes feels so kitsch.

These are different but this is the most similar to Opulent Oud. OR is more complex and has more of a refined feel to it. Both have well above average performance. Ultimately, this is an amazing rose oud scent (on the jammy, woody side) for the money, and I highly recommend it for lovers of niche scents. I like that the rose in this one is not that granny's rose kind of smell, which I hate from the bottom of my heart, because I think that scent makes perfumes extremely oldish. But the rose in this one is ok.

These are different, but there are some similarities with oud-vanilla. OM doesn't have the sandalwood-patchouli drydown, and is more of an oud-praline bland along the lines of Oud Bouquet Lancome, while Opulent Oud is woodier and more along the lines of Armani Prive Oud Royal. Both have powerhouse performance. Yes, it is sweet, but this is an unusual sweetness, elegant but quite heavy and dark. Definitely wear it in the winter or in the cool evenings. Over time, similar to Oud Royal the smokiness dial turns up as the jamminess recedes. Sweet synthetic sandalwood may occasionally be seen in the murky smoke, and the rose remains as a transparent vapour, following the woods to the finish.

Note: If you think that all Lattafas are trying to dupe another fragrance, in my opinion, this scent is quite unique and does not intend to clone anything. the perfume is definitely sweet from the caramel but layering it with some other vanilla or caramel-based perfumes can help to make it more "acceptable". Sheikh is more of a sheer version of this scent profile and the saffron note is a little more prominent. Sheikh has that vanillic sweetness but it has more of an airiness to it.

The sillage is also remarkable. What I smell for hours is sweet smoky cinnamon with a hint of oud and amber. Also, the bottle is amazing, the photo doesn't give it justice... It's solid, the cap is metal and heavy, and the ribbon and label are made of silky textile.

Box & bottle: white, velvel feel box that feels understated and minimalist. white glass bottle woth golden plastic cap The dry down is caramel, incense, bit of resins, musk, and beautiful woody notes. There's no oud in the drydown. I love the drydown on my skin. I think this is an indulgence choice of scent. Its not really suitable for work, after the gym etc. But I could wear this to a glamorous wedding on a fabulous suit. (sigh - those days are gone). The reason I'm giving it a love is that although it's not groundbreaking, it has an extremely attractive price point for a larger audience - especially those that don't like more traditional our fragrances. Extreme versatility with a brilliant sillage. Bottle: 10/10 (trust me, in real life is waaay better than in the photos, and the cap is excellent, metallic, heavy, they put great quality in their bottles)I wear it on my days off as it is definitely not a safe work fragrance for a woman, a man might pull it off in a small dose.

Whenever I buy a new fragrance, especially one that was not love at first sniff, I do this thing where I spray it either on my skin or clothes before going to bed to kind of make myself become accustomed to it and I can say, Oud mood has grown on me. But after this Perfume “macerated” (after about a week) it turned into such a beautiful sweet musky resinous amber scent which does smell kind of like BR540. The heavy saffron toned down a lot after the perfume has been “opened” and left a gorgeous sweet and airy fragrance. In the opening is very citrusy and strong on saffron, some clean musk and a little sweet. I really hate the first 5-10 minutes, because it somehow reminds me of cow smell :-/ very animalic! Then, I got a travel-size decant of Mancera Oud Vanille. Which is better. I enjoy it, and may get a full-size when the decant starts to run out. Still deciding. JoeyTaylor and Midifire hit the spot on this one. 'Opulent Musk' is NOT a clone of 540 but of 'Precious Oud'/'Amber Fever'/'Instant Crush' by Mancera. As in... it's closer to the Mancera-inspired perfumes, not MFK. I've had at least 3/3 of those perfumes in one point of my life.I was pleasantly surprised with the drydown though. Very unisex and more amber. It reminds me a bit of Prada l'Homme but its not that at all. This is a weird scent in that it doesn't project well but it seems to last a long time. I could smell it on my clothes the next day. But at that price point for this performance, this is seriously good value and puts a lot of well known brands to shame.
