Although I had read this story a while back on Wattpad, it was a good refresher to be back in the world of the book, and reacquaint myself with the characters I fell in love with originally. I haven’t read the first book in a long time (not since it was on Wattpad), but I had remembered some parts of Alex and Daniel’s story so it wasn’t hard to understand their dynamic in this book.

This ultimately led her to think that this could last forever; however, once the magic broke, Sienna had to face a very harsh reality. She trains him day and night for the rematch as sparks fly, and she finds herself falling for another fighter yet again. I personally did not enjoy Kayden’s specific flavour of flirtation, which made their banter hard for me to accept. So close and yet they would pull back because, hello they were trying to maintain a somewhat professional relationship with each other, and also Kayden was being a gentleman realizing that Sienna wasn’t ready to jump into something new after getting out of a long relationship. The beginning started off with quite the scandal that involved Sienna walking in on her sister, Beth and Sienna’s boyfriend, Jax having sex in their apartment! Now those fans will get to see the characters of Sienna, Kayden, and Jax brought to life by actors Kiana Madeira, Ross Butler, and Matthew Noszka. At first, I enjoyed Jax as a villain in this book, then I grew frustrated with him because I felt like he was too shallow and underdeveloped. Not only is Claudia Tan skilled in writing MMA fighters (because our girl Sienna is one too), but the chemistry between the characters was off the charts too. Overall I liked the pacing of the book, the interactions between the characters, and their amazing chemistry. Just from the first few chapters, I was immediately immersed into Sienna and Kayden’s story, and LOVING IT! I wouldn't have minded if it wasn't for the previously mentioned tattoos and other stuff I won't spoil. Jax had emotionally manipulated her and had been utterly toxic to her, while Kayden had been encouraging and supportive to her, which was what Sienna needed to get herself on track. Maybe it was the way the character was written or the language, but I couldn't get a read on the kind of personality he had.I wanted to read the W by Wattpad Books version of it to see what changes Tan would make as an adult, as she very famously wrote the book in her teenage years. This book was written by someone who might have wanted to talk about important issues but not truly understand or be able to nuances of the issues. Because he now has psychological impact on them and we get to see them fall apart and piece themselves together, stronger than ever. Her character development and how she learned from her mistakes and became a better version of herself.

I was really pissed off at Kayden when he told her to leave but I was also happy to see this arrogant jerk because I knew that she was going to change him and I was just so excited to be able to read about that transformation. I remember pestering Wattpad about a possible movie adaptation of Perfect Addiction about 2 years ago because I JUST KNEW it was SILVER-SCREEN POTENTIAL. Vowing to get back at Jax, Sienna quickly charts a course of revenge that will hit him where it hurts most―in the ring. Oh yeah, and after trying to get back at her sister and ex boyfriend the whole book, Sienna and her sister MAKE. I got into this mood where I needed to read something that had fighting of some kind in it, so this is what was suggested.
