Description

The EO mini is available in both tethered option and untethered where you can use the cable from your car. The tethered option comes with a 5m long cable for charging. If you don’t like the EO Smart Home app, you can use your vehicle manufacturer app instead if it has one, turning the EO into a charge point you just plug into. A blue LED status light comes on when the EO Mini Pro 2 is ready to charge. Red means something is wrong, and green means your vehicle is charging. The LED lights also flash during installation. The engineer may need to switch off your electricity supply to install your charger. So, it's a good idea to switch off any appliances or electronic equipment that may be affected, including any household alarms, before we start your installation. One workaround with the need for a Garo earthing device is to have the charger installed in a garage and only charge indoors. This way, the EO Mini Pro 2 will use the house earthing and not need a separate earthing device. However, you will only be able to charge indoors – charging outside with this setup is dangerous.

Another plus with the EO Mini Pro 3 Smart Electric Vehicle Charger is its set of features. These are more quality than quantity in nature, but it’s another bonus with the British-made charger. For example, there’s built-in PME (Protective Multiple Earthings), which basically means there’s no requirement for earth rods helping to keep costs down and the installation is more straightforward as a result. The ability to remotely access and control the EV charger is a significant advantage for users, as it provides increased flexibility and convenience. With remote access, users can monitor their charger’s status, start or stop charging sessions, and adjust settings without being physically present at the charger. For instance, the Wallbox Eco-Smart Solar EV Charging system offers a user-friendly app with remote access and control features, making it easier for users to manage their solar-integrated EV charger in real-time.Mini Pro 3 automatically adjusts the output of your charger alongside other energy hungry home appliances. The EO Mini Pro 2 charges at speeds up to 7.2KW. Annoyingly, you can’t set the charge rate in the EO app; your EO Approved Installer does this during installation. The Zappi v2.1 is the best EV charger for solar panels and renewables, with feeds for these and special charge modes for balancing. Charger Comparisons Zappi vs Ohme The EO Mini Pro 2 is a tiny, inconspicuous ‘smart’ home charger available tethered or untethered, charging at speeds up to 7.2kW (single-phase).

The EO Mini Pro and Mini Pro 2, the latter of which offers greater connected control, fuse protection and solar charging integration, are so compact that you might not even notice there’s a home charge point installed. You can choose between 3.6kW or 7kW power delivery, and there’s even a choice of colours (albeit a limited one).Aside from these features, it’s important to look for chargers that are compatible with all common EV types and offer flexible cable length options. This will ensure that your EV charger can accommodate your current vehicle and any future models you may own.
