This is where it all started! The first home releases of the Time crisis games were on the PSX. The graphics were great at the time and it was like bringing the arcade home. Time crisis came first and then later Project Titan was released with some cool twists on the game play and improved graphics as the console matured. PS1 light gun games

Thee was also the ps move controller which could be put in a gun shell. That could be used for the Time crisis games but is much the same as using a wii remote in my mind, so not really like aiming.Time Crisis II, released for the arcades in 1997, focuses on the efforts of intelligence agents Keith Martin and Robert Baxter, as they attempt to thwart the efforts of a major industrial tycoon from launching a nuclear military satellite in space, and rescue a fellow agent that they kidnapped. The game offered co-operative gameplay between two players for the first time, with the arcade original being launched with linked game machines that featured contrasting coloured light gun controllers. In addition, the original game mechanics of its predecessor were modified for the sequel, including the time-limit system, while incorporating new elements such as each playable character having their own battle situations at times, players receiving a score penalty for shooting the other character, and a new game highlight system for indicating a deadly shot about to hit the player. A port of the game for the PlayStation 2 was released in 2001, supported by the GunCon 2 light gun peripheral, which included enhanced graphics and additional story scenes. The options for project Titan are exactly the same as for Time Crisis. You can play it in its native format or you can emulate it using pcsxr. A side story to the first Time Crisis game Time Crisis: Project Titan, was released in 2001 for the PlayStation, featuring a new multi-hiding system. Tran, Edmond (August 25, 2022). "New Time Crisis trademark filed by Bandai Namco". GamesHub . Retrieved December 13, 2022. Would like to be able to cycle through weapons as well and haven't edited that in the file but could do i suppose but atm its "o"

The reason I like Time Crisis so much is that it is an action movie that just happens to be a rail shooter. Rather than a series of disparate levels it is one continuous mission that evolves as you progress. There are betrayals and escalations as the situation progresses as the enemy realizes the danger you present. Simple soldiers upgrade to riot shields and bazookas and environmental hazards will force you in to cover. The game sells the idea that you are on a time limit extremely well and has an epic finale that is worth the significant amount of practice it will take to reach. Sure I would have liked some optional power-ups and even two-player coop but those are minor complaints in the face of the game’s overall quality.

In Closing

By the time the PS3 came out, CRT TVs, which had been the cornerstone of lightgun games, were dying out. Flat screen LED, Plasma and LED TVs were becoming the norm and unfortunately, the technology that made lightguns work would not work on them. You can read more about that here PS3 Gun Controllers

Time Crisis is a light gun shooter arcade game, developed and released by Namco in 1995, and the first title to be released in the series of the same name. The game differentiated itself from other light gun shooters of the time by incorporating a pedal that controls when the player character takes cover to reload and avoid enemy fire. Players have a limited amount of time to clear each section by defeating enemies. The game's story focuses on Richard Miller, a secret agent, who is sent to rescue a kidnapped woman from a ruthless tyrant seeking to reclaim control of their former country from a new regime. The Time crisis arcade machine had its own gun and used a foot pedal to controll taking cover. The gun in the arcade had came in Blue and Red and had a recoil built in. It felt great. There are two components for playing a psx Time Crisis game on your PC. The first component is the emulation program which can imitate the psx OS and software. In the same file i've also edited lines 102 & 105 to below so now by pressing 1 and 5 the keyboard will control Crosshair and credits Your emulator will now be ready to play Time Crisis. But now you’ll need to find the correct ROMs online. A ROM is essentially a virtual version of the game that needs to be loaded into the emulator. Tip: Saving games on an emulator functions a little differently. The integrated save system will not save your progress.
