Description

All units in a Realspace Raid Detachment gain the REALSPACE RAIDER keyword, and you can replace your Warlord’s Overlord ability with the following ability: You’ll also find O’Shovah himself – arguably the T’au Commander best-suited to tangling with foes in claustrophobic corridors – as well as enough spare Tactical Drones to form a small shipside squadron.

Here’s everything in the box, painted up by Games Workshop’s ‘Eavy Metal team and professionally photographed – as if you didn’t need tempting more. Global prices have been estimated from similar-priced products. Boarding Patrol: Chaos Daemons – Price Value & Savings SummaryThe stars are awash with the sounds of violence – with the new additions in Arks of Omen: Angron and White Dwarf 485 , there are now a total of 27 Boarding Action missions to take you into the cold depths of space.* Plenty of Boarding Patrol boxes are coming to join the fun – but the starfaring Aeldari are masters of sailing through the void, and their spiky cousins are no strangers to raiding stranded vessels and even space hulks .

Ultimately, this is a decent Drukhari force. You get the best of both worlds – melee and shooting options galore. Infantry and specialists rolled into one. Wyches can shoot and sit on objectives, whilst the Succubus and Incubi can go in for the kill and really fudge your foes up. After years of looking at the starter sets – I have to say I am really, really impressed with this one. Let’s Break it down: Some weapons have ‘Blast’ listed in their profile’s abilities. These are referred to as Blast weapons. In addition to the normal rules, the following rules apply to Blast weapons:One or more units from your army can start to perform this action at the end of the Move Units step of your Movement phase if they are within 1" of a Hatchway. This action can be performed by any unit that is not within Engagement Range of any enemy models, even if that unit is being affected by a rule that would normally prevent it from performing actions. The action is completed at the end of your Movement phase if no enemy models are within 1" of that Hatchway. If there are any enemy models within 1" of that Hatchway, your opponent can attempt to prevent the action from being completed. If they do so, roll off with your opponent; each player adds the Strength characteristic of one of their models that is within 1" of that Hatchway to their respective scores. If you win, the action is completed; otherwise, the action fails. If completed, that Hatchway opens (if it was closed) or closes (if it was open). Commander Farsight doesn’t just have a book dedicated to him – he’s also got an awesome new model, which is first available in Boarding Patrol: T’au Empire. This powerful assault force contains three Crisis battlesuits and 10 Fire Warriors, accompanied by a small shoal of Drones. It’s a firepower-first nightmare for enemy patrols, and even includes some close combat punch thanks to Farsight himself.* Arks of Omen: Farsight Enclaves Dice Set Even more Boarding Patrols are preparing for mobilisation – sign up for the Warhammer Community newsletter to find out which other factions are getting ready to breach and clear next. If you’ve read our previous articles on the Boarding Patrol boxsets, then you will have noticed (if you scrolled down this far – and I thank you for it) that we have started to talk about the value these boxsets bring to the actual Boarding Actions game mode itself. Now, I will preface by saying I’ve (almost) run the gammet of 40K armies – whether that’s fielding factions or being fielded against – and so I rely on my experience to inform myself of how good certain models play on the tabletop. However, Chaos Daemons is one of those factions that I’ve never played or had play against me – so I can only give brief opinions on how valuable these units are on the tabletop. The Aeldari know a thing or two about spacefaring and close-quarters combat, and bring these skills to bear in a Boarding Patrol that contains 20 Corsair Voidscarred, which can also be built as Voidreavers, and five Howling Banshees, led by the legendary Phoenix Lord Jain Zar. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari

Each Kabal, Wych Cult or Haemonculus Coven has an associated Kabal, Wych Cult or Haemonculus Coven Warlord Trait. If a < KABAL>, < WYCH CULT> or < HAEMONCULUS COVEN> CHARACTER model from one of the Kabals, Wych Cults or Haemonculus Covens named in this section gains a Warlord Trait, they can have the relevant Kabal, Wych Cult or Haemonculus Coven Warlord Trait instead of a Drukhari Warlord Trait. Note that named characters must have the Warlord Traits specified on their datasheets. If your army is Battle-forged and includes any Drukhari Detachments (excluding Auxiliary Support, Super-heavy Auxiliary or Fortification Network Detachments), then when you muster your army, you can upgrade one of the following DRUKHARI CHARACTER units (excluding named characters) from each Detachment in your army: ARCHON, SUCCUBUS, HAEMONCULUS. If the Detachment is a Realspace Raid Detachment, you can upgrade one ARCHON, one SUCCUBUS and one HAEMONCULUS unit from that Detachment.

Kabalite Diversion

I’m not a Chaos Daemons player, so it’s down to you to decide if you want to bite a smaller bullet to get a bigger force or if you’re plain old happy with this offering. Boarding Patrol: Chaos Daemons – Value The Drukhari already love to raid voidcraft for business and pleasure, and the Arks of Omen have only spilled blood in the water. A Succubus leads 20 Wyches in Boarding Patrol: Drukhari, accompanied by a band of five sinister Incubi. Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights The Kabalites of the Flayed Skull excel in aerial warfare, using their speed and manoeuvrability to harry the most elusive targets, before bringing them down with deadly volleys from their weapons. Haemonculi are frequently experimental in their surgery, especially if their patients have displeased them. Not all of the outcomes of these surgeries are favourable, but they certainly ensure greater loyalty.
