It smells exactly like lemon laundry detergent, which some people like (i liked it lol) but it also had a weird underlying scent of bile.

What I learned recently is the Reserve line of CLEAN products works with farmers in underdeveloped countries so they can be sustainable. I wore it for a while to see if the scent mellows down or changes into something more green/musky but nothing improved. On me the opening smells like wet wipes, but after a while it mellows out and becomes warm, slightly floral, and generally pleasant. I get the impression that was their goal, so well done I guess, but I can't imagine wanting to smell like this. And then it felt like the cotton sheet smell was trying too hard to smell like cotton sheets and missed the mark terribly.

Yes, it does remind me of laundry detergent, but I like laundry detergents anyway so I can wear this one without issues. Not sure if I would use it, it's a bit more like a cleaning product rather than laundry detergent or clean laundry which is what I was looking for.

I was expecting a strong lemon based on the reviews, and generally I like the smell of cleaners, but this is way too realistic, it doesn't smell like a perfume but like a literal window cleaner. The Reserve version has a very very noticable petrichor/ozone accord in it, which gives the feeling of a fresh, wet t-shirt hanging on the line during a cool windy day before a rain storm starts to roll in, its very fresh, humid and yes, ok, it is a bit synthetic, but its much more wearable in my opinion compared to the original, which I do love, but I really have to be in the mood for as its too simplistic, this one has more complexity and something about it.
