But as I look into Andrew's handsome brown eyes, so full of pain, it's hard not to imagine what it would be like to live Nina's life. I knew right from the beginning that I would enjoy this heart-throbbing, jaw-dropping, unputdownable, twisty psychological thriller, but I didn't expect to love it even more and immediately decided to jump into the next book of the series, despite some reviews emphasizing that it might not be as good as the first one.

The reason I haven't given it five stars is that I didn't like any of the characters enough to really care about what ultimately happened to them, but it was a good pacy read.In delving into Freida McFadden's "The Housemaid," I embarked on a reading journey that, despite my recent reading slump, managed to captivate my attention. She also keeps herself in check as Nina's emotionally unstable behavior pushes her buttons until they nearly fall to the floor. Don’t worry, I will not go into any specifics or spoil anything for you but I’d consider this a must-read novel.
