Skin reactions

Liquid Paraffin 65% w/w, Acetylated Wool Alcohols, Isopropyl Myristate and C12- C13 Pareth-3. Indications: They can be used to replace lost moisture whenever your skin feels dry or tight. They're very safe and you cannot overuse them. Certain activities, such as gardening, can irritate the skin. It may help to apply an emollient before doing these.

They will tell you what to do. Precautions: Rarely, mild reactions such as skin rash may occur, or allergic skin reactions on extremely sensitive skin. These effects tend to occur during the first few uses. If you notice any side effects, stop use and tell your doctor or pharmacist, they will tell you what to do. Precautions:ZeroAQS Emollient Cream adds moisture to the skin and acts as an effective emollient for the relief of flaking dry skin conditions. ZeroAQS can also be used as a skin cleanser as an alternative to soap. Adverse reactions: Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults: Add 20ml to a standard bath of warm water (8 inches deep). Infants and Children: Add 5ml to a small bath (25 litres) or washbasin of warm water. Immerse and cover the affected areas and soak for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, gently sponge over the affected areas repeatedly. Pat dry with a towel. Date of preparation: It's a good idea to protect babies' hands and cheeks with an emollient before mealtimes to stop them getting sore from food and drink.

Then add to the bath ensuring that the water has sufficiently cooled before getting in. As a soap substitute: Take a small amount of Zeroderm Ointment from the tub, lather it under warm water and use as required when washing or in the shower. Pat skin dry. Date of preparation: They help prevent patches of inflammation and flare-ups of these conditions. Types of emollients Lotions If your skin stings after using an emollient wash product and does not settle after rinsing, ask a pharmacist to recommend a different product. Using emollients with other skin treatments Emollient soap substitutes that are used instead of normal soap in the bath or shower are not usually available on the NHS. How to get emollients It's especially important to regularly apply an emollient to your hands and face, as they're exposed to the elements more than any other part of your body.
