Description

The glass side of the O11D EVO is slightly quieter than the Cooler Master's, while the vented side is slightly noisier. Both fall within earshot of the quiet-design Seta Q1, while the Corsair gets penalized for having more powerful fans than either the HAF 500 or Seta Q1. Thanks to the spacious, dual-chamber interior, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case can accommodate for all your gaming hardware in a number of configurations. Able to support up to an E-ATX motherboard, this chassis has 8 expansion slots. With the tempered glass side panel, you can create a truly show-stopping gaming PC. To put this case through its cooling paces we will be using a test system consisting of an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU, Sapphire RX6800 XT graphics and an SSD. This system allows us to produce a substantial amount of heat and effectively test the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO‘s cooling capabilities. The O11D EVO XL’s front pillar can now be easily removed, providing an unobstructed view for showcasing hardware without affecting the case’s structure.

The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is the successor to the original O11 Dynamic case that launched in April 2018, and that was pretty darned good. Sadly we haven't reviewed the O11D, however we used it in a custom loop Gigabyte WaterForce build HERE and were deeply impressed. The good news is that EVO is even better. We update our original review today with a second video featuring the MSI MPG X570S Carbon EK X with custom loop cooling The evolution continues, with the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case. Taking modular to the next level, this mid-tower chassis can be configured to one of two modes – Normal or Reverse. On top of this, there are multiple positions for I/O panel to be placed, and three orientations for your GPU. Choose from horizontal, vertical, or even upright to fully show off your gaming hardware. Thanks to the mesh panels and spacious interior, airflow has been maximised to the extreme and there is ample support for either AiO or custom water cooling. Plus, with its intelligent dual-chamber design, cable management is easy and the interior will stay looking sleek. Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case White at a Glance: The Lian Li O11D range is known for its modular innovations. The latest O11D EVO takes modularity to the next level. In addition to the easy to remove panels, this mid-tower case can be configured in one of two modes: Normal and Reverse. Whether your desk set-up is skewed to the left or right, you can create the perfect showcase gaming PC. Thanks to the hassle-free design, it only takes a few simple steps to arrange the Lian Li O11D EVO into Reverse Mode. The top and bottom panels can be switched and the whole case flipped, putting your hardware to the left-hand side of the case rather than the traditional right. If you want more external ports than this, there's also an Additional I/O kit, which can install in any of the three previously mentioned places at the bottom of the case. It delivers two more USB-A ports and one more USB-C port. Just note that you'll need ample front-panel connectors/headers to use both the standard and additional IO kit, as both use one USB 3.0 header and one USB 3.1 front-panel connector. If you opt for the front mesh panel and upright GPU, then the Lian Li O11D EVO is going to have phenomenal airflow. With a fine mesh, these panels have been optimised for thermal performance as well acting as dust filters. The upright GPU allows unprecedented and direct airflow to the graphics card and CPU, that can be further boosted by three 120mm fans. Alternatively, the upright GPU placement also allows for amazing customisation for water cooling. Simpler and more efficient tubing can reach hardware without restriction, which in turn helps the radiators to perform more effectively. Fan mounts: 3x 120mm/2x 140mm side, 3x 120mm/2x 140mm roof, 3x 120mm/2x 140mm bottom, 1x 120mm rear Plenty of space is available in the O11D EVO XL for accommodating modern, powerful, and large components. There’s also sufficient cooling with the support for 3 × 420mm radiators. All 3 sides can hold up to a maximum of 420mm radiator.

Engineered to be mounted on the front window of the O11D EVO case, the EK-Quantum Reflection² PC-O11D EVO D5 PWM D-RGB fits elegantly within the LIAN LI O11D EVO chassis. The front no longer has a stainless steel plate covering the pump; instead, it is now a single piece of see-through acrylic. Still, we'd suggest you ideally add fans to the bottom mount, the side mount, or both. The Lian Li is, after all, designed to hold up to three large radiators. And because of the extreme glass visibility, it practically begs for LED fans galore, whether mounted straight on the case or on radiators. To satisfy any need, the modular I/O port includes 1 × USB Type C and 4 × USB Type A ports. At the bottom of the chassis, the I/O module can be relocated to 3 different locations without the use of any tools. KitGuru Says: The Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO is superb and may well be the best case of 2022 (and it's still 2021). On paper the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO appears to have changed very little from the original O11D. You can now install a 280mm radiator in the side location and there are mounts for nine storage drives, rather than six. As you will see in our video, the devil very much lies in the detail as you can flip the case from right hand to left hand and can also install a range of accessories that include two different GPU mounts.

I am a Quest-hole Now - Meta Quest 3 Review

We loaded the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO with 620W of gaming hardware and it performed superbly. While we expected the Mesh front panel would help performance it actually made very little difference. When you consider we had fans in the floor, side, roof and rear of the case, perhaps it shouldn't have come as much of a surprise that the front panel did not act as a restriction. Thermally the EVO is a masterclass in how to do things right. Closing Thoughts The good news is that the core chassis is very good indeed and allows you to build a high end PC that is fairly conventional and which functions well. The case is not especially large and has excellent thermals along with very good cable management.

Keeping style and performance in mind, both the top and side panels of the O11D EVO XL are crafted from aluminum with fine mesh, providing a high-end appearance yet delivering superior cooling compared to the O11D XL. The fully open bottom panel, along with three dust filters ensures uncompromised airflow while effectively keeping dust out of the chassis. Overall, maybe we're overthinking it. The O11D EVO's prime customers are show-system builders who regularly blow their PCs out with compressed air. You could possibly boost the case's practicality by using higher-flow fans on the bottom or ignoring the side radiator mount, but, after all, we're looking at a case that can support more drives than most people own. For builders who use the side drive mount instead of radiators, this chassis could be the best of both "show-off" and "storage." The final two accessories are PCIe riser cables for alternative orientations for your graphics card. Flexible Hardware Overall, the Lian Li O11D EVO PC Case has a sleek and modern design. The main structure is manufactured with stainless steel whilst the exterior panelling is either brushed aluminium, mesh, or tempered glass. Contributing to the smooth aesthetic, the power button wraps around two edges of the chassis, whilst the reset and RGB buttons remain on the side. This incredible case is available in three colours, with this model being the white version. Inside and out, this PC case has a clean and bright style, with silver screws to prevent interrupting the look. RGB LED Strip EK ® , the premium water-cooling gear manufacturer, is launching a new distro plate for the LIAN LI O11D EVO chassis. It is designed to provide advanced water cooling with the latest 3rd-generation SATA-powered D5 pump, reducing the need for additional 4-pin Molexcables. The Reflection² series distribution plates are EK-Matrix7 compliant. This kit allows you to take the I/O panel from the bottom of the chassis and move it to the top panel. With the replacement strips featuring the necessary cut-outs, this kit features all the components needed to relocate the I/O panel. From there you will have easy access to the two USB 3.0, one USB 3.1 Type-C, and HD audio ports.Having the panel situated on the top means the additional I/O module can be placed in any of the three available spots. All-In-One Affordable, easy to install, maintenance-free liquid cooler with class-leading performance The motherboard is a great design, it’s the ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4, this not only looks great with nice white and silver detailing, but it also oozes that quality build you expect from ASUS, great job! Makes me think twice about speccing in the ‘F’ or ‘E’ now! Lian Li has been teasing us about the O11 Dynamic EVO for most of 2021 so when our sample case arrived it wasn't exactly new to us but neither was it entirely familiar.
