Description

As the fragrance evolves, the heart notes reveal a refined elegance. Aromatic leather and warm tobacco notes intertwine, creating a genuinely luxurious accord that speaks to the sophistication of the Mercedes Benz brand. The combination of these ingredients evokes memories of leather-clad steering wheels and the distinct allure of a high-end automobile interior. Recommended? Not really! Unless, like me, you are an oud collector or fancy the high-standard perfume presentation. Price: 6.5 (€ 60 for 120 ml? The juice is not worth it. You are paying for the leathery case and the Mercedes name as well. I bought my flask on sale for €45). Quality: 8.5 (The fragrance ingredients quality is above average despite the opening synthetic note remarked. It bears a quality presentation, with a sturdy glass bottle, a heavy cap, a good sprayer, as well as an unusual well-crafted fake leather case).

This is a fine patchouli/vanilla based men's scent that is bound to please. The opening presents an odd citrus veneer over the heart notes that seems a bit discordant and out of place, but thankfully it passes within minutes. Honestly, I think this opening is where one could find CE a bit off-putting, but it almost doesn't resemble the lovely evolution to follow. Projection Power: 10 (Fills a street), 9 (fills a room), 8 (can smell from 5 meters), 7 (3 meters), 6 (within arms reach bubble), 5 (20cm from skin) It's a very pleasant oriental woody composition that is like a combination of some of this house's earlier work. I get some resemblance with the base of Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum and also find it contains some similarity to the sweetness of Mercedes Benz Club's Addictive Oriental and the spicyness of Infinite Spicy (the 1st and last also by perfumer Olivier Cresp). It also gets points for at least being a good performer in the longevity and projection stakes. Whether you’re attending a formal event or simply making a powerful impression in your everyday life, the Mercedes Benz Intense Eau de Toilette is the perfect companion. Its refined blend of notes elevates your presence, leaving a lasting impression wherever you go. a perfect clone of Fahrenheit by Cristian Dior I don't normally like cheapies, of which this is one. However, I couldn't find my bottle of Tuscan Leather, which had mysteriously disappeared. I was not in the mood for any of my other colognes, so I asked one of the more trusted servants what he had..This is not "very similar" to Tuscan leather; people are only saying that because TL is the most prominent sweet/fruity-leather of today, and has popularized the leather note again. These are both sweet leathers, yes, but Mercedes Parfum does not have any fruit or smoke / ash, both prominent elements of Tuscan Leather. Do not go into this expecting a clone or even a riff on the Tuscan Leather theme; god knows we have enough of those. If, however, you enjoy sweeter, more powdery oriental leathers like Cuir Ottoman and Davidoff's Leather Blend (along with the Polo Supreme Leather), you will enjoy this. The base accords are quite predictable, with some amber and vetiver in a woody / oudy frame that lasts until dry down. It is unsurprising but pleasant and almost seductive. I like this dry-down "finishing" even if it is not unique. Bottom line: If you're a complex & mysterious man, who's actions speak louder than their words, this is your scent. It smells like experience and deep thinking have carved the man you are today and going to remain tomorrow. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this sits on my skin. It's much nicer than the original Mercedes Benz Club which I found to be too screechy, sharp and a bit plastic. The dynamic, deeper and more intense composition of CLUB EXTREME is characteristic for a blend of woody-oriental aromas embellished with masculine leather notes. The composition opens with bergamot, mandarin and lotus flower, illuminating delicately the warm and intense flavors of amber, leather and sandalwood in the base. The base contributes to intensity and depth, thanks to patchouli, dry wood and musk.

As the fragrance progresses, we notice a strong violet leaf aroma, which for me, forms the signature of "Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum | Mercedes-Benz" together with the oud note. The unnatural freshness of the opening is now rounded off by a more natural violet leaf freshness. Polge probably wanted to recreate the chic ambience of a luxury-class Mercedes. On the other hand, the saffron note is also quite noticeable and blends with a scent reminiscent of leather. Okay, now I understand! Polge has added powerful air conditioning and real leather seats to this "Mercedes-Benz Le Parfum | Mercedes-Benz". I just don't understand well which of the listed notes are responsible for this leather accord. As a final remark: I can honestly say that I like this Mercedes a bit more than the other noses around me. This is tantamount to saying that I have some new car scent haters around me who don't really care about riding this Mercedes vehicle. This is a subdued “Mugler” style fragrance. It has IMO similarities to Pure Malt, but not as challenging with all that signature Mugler DNA. This is not a random statement, I got my bottle today and had no idea what to expect, just that it is hard to find. Upon application I instantly thought Pure Malt. Funny enough I also got Robert Graham Fortitude, which gets Mugler comparisons, and I did not get that at all? As for the fragrance, the first thing it made me think of was Versace Oud Noir. Not because of the scent profile but, because this is another really nice designer oud that probably won't offend many people and is very versatile with solid but not beast mode performance. Versace Oud Noir is one of my favorite designer ouds and my first impression is that this is exactly the same sort of fragrance with a different scent profile. At work, my partner commented, "That's strong stuff... much too strong for me! That's a "cabaret" scent! What kind of perverted things are you up to tonight?" Projection Time: 10 (10+ hours), 9 (8-10 hours), 8 (6-8 hours), 7 (5-6 hours), 6 (4-5 hours), 5 (2-4 hours) I wouldn't necessarily call this a safe blind buy, as it's not a mass appealing scent. However, if you like Mugler-type scents, specifically Pure Malt and A Men, or you like sweet/boozy type scents, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed. I say the hype is deserved. SIGN impresses its power, intensity, and sillage. The top notes reveal the escence of cardamom, which blends with pink peppercorn SFE to bring freshness, and to contrast with a more vanilla base. The base notes also feature tonka bean and white musk, which playout a warm and sensual score before mingling with cashmere and woody patchouli SFE. Then come bitter grapefruit, crisp apple, and a floral bouquet comprised of aromatic lavender, orange blossom, rose geranium, and—now rare in perfumery—violet leaf absolute, creating a sophisticated balance that master perfumer Olivier Cresp has refined with zeal. After a very brief citrus start, amber, sandalwood and patchouli are the main stars of this show. The supporting players are the musk, wood notes and a very soft leather accord, that is more suede than actual leather.

A fragrance defined by elegance, power, and sophistication. Inspired by the iconic luxury brand, Mercedes Benz Intense is captivating scent captures the spirit of the modern man who embraces his individuality and exudes timeless class. My personal experience with this was a bit of disappointment; the note pyramid makes it sound less sweet than it really is; the amber here is very strong and the whole fragrance is relatively sweet; this could easily pass as an edgier feminine perfume (but I admit, I am much more strict about what I consider "masculine" than the rest of this community), and so this is very unisex. My biggest curiosity was about the engine, or the juice if you like. With Polge as the engineer, it looked quite promising, probably with plenty of horsepower and making us enjoy a pleasant and comfortable drive. Well! I don't love it, but I like it! It's masculine, but not overly masculine; it has a decent power; it's more versatile than most oud fragrances I own, reasonably elegant and even a bit sexy. But it's not an unchallenged, radiant, three-pronged fragrance star! At the beginning, it's mostly bitter leather, then sweet leather, which on one hand is quite strange as there's no leather note listed officially. Just goes to show not to believe everything they post. On the other, leather is a very good match for the brand. The scent is well blended and congruent. It exudes quality I'd expect from Mercedes. It is evident they crossed their t's and dotted their i's, with one exception: it's an EDP, not a parfum like the name would suggest (though performance is certainly worthy of a parfum). Otherwise branding is perfect and the bottle fits the scent very well. The fragrance has a mature vibe fitting the population of Mercedes drivers. Younger people might find it boring. Finally, the base notes add a touch of seductive allure and deep sensuality. The incense and ambergris accord create an intoxicating blend that lingers on the skin, leaving an impression as unforgettable as the journey of a lifetime. The unique fusion of these base notes further emphasizes the captivating charm and charisma that defines the Mercedes Benz Intense. Specifically, Fragrantica has omitted the Cascalone in the top and lists Amber in the base instead of the Ambergris listed by Mercedes. That explains why the fragrance doesn't smell like the notes listed on Fragrantica.
