May I first say, I am unfamiliar with The Princess and the Frog fairy tale and equally unaware of the Disney re-make of the tale so I have no idea what actually happened and how the author 'twisted' it to get this tale. This book was even more heart-wrenching than the movie because it’s one thing to realize that love is important and that you need to slow down and enjoy life. But it’s a completely different thing to have to give up someone you love to protect the others that you love.
