Looking forward to getting a cable approx 30cm/1ft long and 3D print a holder to put my Fiio BTR5 to use it as a bluetooth headphone around the house. Don’t listen to the rhythm or beat, pay attention to the sounds themselves and you’ll see that Williams was inspired by Brad Fiedel’s obscure synthesizers/instruments.

Wow, really have to tread carefully here, otherwise one could use that as an excuse for poor engineering / QC etc etc. When I really want to turn the AKGs from studio hardware to fun machines blasting Neil Pearth and some Billy Jean, I just flip the loudness switch and I get the best bass and dynamics I've ever heard from a headphone. His sense of humour, coupled with a knack for excellence and strict attention to detail are what allow him to stand out in an crowded industry. The separation along the center image in Three O'Clock Blues is also made clear in this song at around the 2:50 mark.

With EQ, I am not super happy with deep bass response but spatial qualities are good enough to push me to put it on my recommended list. Out-of-your-head moments aplenty, it’s the type of headphone you’ll want to explore the intricacies of all day because you can keep it on your head almost indefinitely. I currently own the MA900 (my fave full sized headphone ever, if mostly because it’s comfort and non-existent weight, paired with well balanced, non-fatiguing sound just makes it hard NOT to love) and I agree with that part of your review most.I like how the vocals seem to be brought forward while other headphones either has pronounced bass or trebles or just flat sounding which allows everything to just blend together into 1 big musical dish. But it is what follows the leading edge - damping, that I think takes me into my imaginary theory world (I'm not an audio engineer), where getting the damping and FR to audiophile levels pushes us into the stratosphere cost vs performance wise. Either I totally adjusted to the voice of a new friend, or in just a few hours, maybe the drivers in the box since 2013 just needed some playtime. Certainly not as aired out or separated as the previous models before it, however, the K712 PRO seems to produce exceptionally smooth and buttery bass along with the majority of the midrange.
