Description

I couldn't help but like this book. It's interesting, with certain amount of darkness in it, with lot of action and interesting world. I hope that all who read it will like it as much as i did :D Family Theme Naming: The Lionlords unsurprisingly have names that begin with "L", while the Panthers begin with "O", tigers with "T", rams with "E", cheetahs begin with "Ch", rats with "V" and so on. WELL WELL WELL this review is so difficult to write because there is so much to say. The series is so good there are no words in the dictionary to describe how I feel. I'll just have to do my best. Werecreatures (also known as Therianthropes, Therians or Shape-Shifters) are the rulers of Lyssia that can change into various animal forms. The males are known as Werelords and the females are known as Wereladies. Werecreatures usually mate with other Werecreatures, but on some occasions they will mate with a mortal. The offspring will usually inherit the shape-shifting ability. Cletus Bartholomew.

Drew soon learns that he is the last of the werewolves. Forced to flee the family he loves, Drew seeks refuge in the most godforsaken parts of Lyssia. But when he is rescued by Duke Bergan 's men, Drew must prove to everyone that he is not the enemy. Synopsis [ ] Part 1 [ ] Reptiles Are Abhorrent: Vala the Serpent and Lord Ignus the werelizard are both reptilian werelords and pretty abhorrent on different ways. Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The Wereworld has humans as well as shape shifters called werelords who can each turn into a different animal. Just the way the second book ended. With lot of people dead or missing. While we are at missing people, two women were MIA in this book - Gretchen and Whitley. They were completely cut out from the book, but i didn't mind that (since the next book seem to be just about them). Last of His Kind: Drew is the last Grey Werewolf. After Queen Amelie's death Mikotaj and Miloqi become the last White Werewolves.

Drew Ferran, the last Grey Wolf of Lyssia, was smart, fast and strong, willing to do anything to survive. I found him proud, kind, good, loyal and giving, with a good heart. Drew was just really noble: a real king. His thinking was inspiration and he always spoke his mind. And while he wasn’t afraid to use violence, he preferred to talk things out. Drew was a king of old, honourable, brave, defiant and passionate. And I fell in love with him from the word go! the writing - i couldn't help but noticed that this book actually needed more dialogues than the description of the events that followed. Wereworld: Rise of the Wolf’ is the first Young Adult paranormal book from Curtis Jobling. Jobling is already a renowned British illustrator and animator, best known for his work on the TV show ‘Bob the Builder’.

Struggling to feed themselves with the proceeds of their ever-inventive, but low-yield heists, Tibbles and his rag-tag gang of stray cats are forced to go undercover to pull of the biggest heist of their lives, posing as the thing they most despise – the pampered pets of suburbia.” Prophecy Twist: While it is not a central part of the plot, the more superstitious characters mention that there was a prophecy about brothers fighting each other. Most would assume it to be Drew and Trent, or Drew and Lucas, but as it turns out, It seems to mean more Hector and Vincent! And the sudden jumping from one pov to another ( i didn't mind that much, but it took me time to get used to).

Keep in touch

And that was thanks to the writing: it was just amazing. It had me totally hooked. It was lyrical, powerful, descriptive. I could see everything – every character, every setting, every battle. And I loved that we got to see into all of the characters’ heads, got to see all the action. There was never a dull moment. Throughout the whole book, I wasn’t bored from a millisecond. This series, this book, this world is so utterly addictive it’s untrue. I loved every moment, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the other books! This series had me hooked right from the start. The characters were likable, and felt real. Characters had real motivations, and I was with the characters through their ups and downs. The main character is an underdog, in more ways than one, and I was rooting for him the whole time, hoping he could defeat all odds thrown his way. Wereworld: Rise of the Wolf also contains a wide range of interesting characters, some who play vital parts in this story and others who I'm hoping we will see a lot more of throughout the series. I loved Drew from the beginning and enjoyed watching his character develop as he learnt more about his past and about his new abilities. I loved the friendship between Drew and Hector and hope we get to see more of that in future books. Gretchen was a character who will take a while to grow on you but by the end she is easy to warm to and I love her sense of humor. If there was one slight negative it would be that I felt Gretchen was a little too similar to Ce'Nedra from the Belgariad series, I had a feeling I knew how things would progress with her and Drew from early in the story and so far I've not been proved wrong. However, that didn't effect my enjoyment of the story and wouldn't even register for someone who has never read the Belgariad series so it is a minor irritation. Drew finds himself in the Malestrom and Captain Cane reveals himself as Count Vega, Prince of the Cluster Isles. He had betrayed Wergar to Leopold when Leopold seemed the "better option" during his takeover, but had been exiled by the new king for this dishonest nature.
