Description

It always bothered me with other programs that they became quite inaccurate and also did not change the controller continuously variable. Therefore, I wrote my own program.

The PBC comes in two flavours, with or without Horn/PBL lever. There are also 3 different handle options available.Dovetail Games announced they will provide support for external controllers in a future release of TSW2. They are currently working on a programming interface to enable 2-way controller communication similar to TS2020. When this is released we will be working on support as soon as possible. Please get in touch with Dovetail games requesting they add external controller support, as the more requests they receive, they higher the priority it will become for them. You can select whether the touchpad surface should act as a mouse, which is what I use, or as for 'swipe' controls, that could use some use in Train Simulator. In cabs and passenger views, you can press the left and right arrow keys to change your seat - maybe you could use the swipe function to do that? Yes. In the case of trains or locos with separate throttles, such as a sprinter or a Class 37, the handle will control the throttle only and fit to the relevant notches on the controller. I am working on version 2.0.0 where a lot will change. However, it will still take a little while until I release it.

I still use the XInput solution in TSW2 and TSW3 because controlling throttle and brakes directly is really nice. Also, with the other tools I mentioned in my previous post I can split and remap my hardware levers to the Raildriver axis so that they match 1:1 with the loco I'm driving. For example, the Raildriver has throttle and brake on the same lever which is not the case for all locos like in the BR 185. Dovetail Games announced they will provide support for external controllers in a future release of TSW2. They are currently working on a programming interface to enable 2-way controller communication similar to TS2020. When this is released we will be working on support as soon as possible. Edit: Note that if you have official Xbox or PlayStation controllers then you obviously don't need to map the gamepad to controller 1 in X360CE because they will work in TSW out of the box. Throttle and Reverser - Features a gated dynamic brake and a continuous reverser with three positive stops. Development of the PBC is at an advanced stage, although no firm release dates have been set yet. Other products will be researched when the PBC development is completed. Most things that aren't that basic controls won't work on the controller. Because the word 'consistency' doesn't exist in Train Simulator, every train is set up slightly different in TS and the keyboard controls work in different ways, so don't buy DLC expecting it to work as you expect it to. Also, the controller doesn't have a crosshair like in Train Sim World, so you'll need a mouse to select anything that doesn't have a keyboard command attached to it. comfortable and efficient editing functions with extensive capabilities, to undo and restore entered data, Generic gamepads' like your unofficial one (most likely) will work, but sometimes there might be issues with individual controllers. Throttle/Brake handle – The PBC had a Throttle/Brake handle which is typically used as 4 brake notches and upto 7 throttle notches.

DRA switch rotary switch -Drivers reminder appliance. This is used as an aid for the driver, and cuts the power when turned on. Firmware is the software, or programming code, inside the PBC itself. This may be updated occasionally to provide new features or improvements. Yes, it is notched and damped to emulate real world controls. 4 brake notches and 7 power notches. If the train has 4 power notches, like many modern units, then you would ignore the last 3 notches of power. All TS Controllers/Alan Thomson Sim hardware products are proudly hand made in the UK in small batches. This ensures quality and reliability. Dovetail Games have said they will support external controllers in a future release of TSW2. When that is ready, the controller should be fully compatible. If you would like to use the PBC with TSW2, please get in touch with Dovetail games requesting they add external controller support.
