This 29th film entry stars Barbie as a princess named Kara who wants to help out in the community rather than perform her royal duties which she says is "more like boring. This 6th film entry and the 2nd original film in the series stars Barbie as a talented ice skater named Princess Annika.

Alexa is a very shy princess from a contemporary, modern kingdom who discovers a secret door that opens to a magical land. They will later discover later that a friendly competition is more about becoming your best and sharing the spotlight. Nalu then confirmed what the tiny mermaids and Elina was saying about Nori's relationship with her by holding her hand.With new friends in a new kingdom, Barbie learns what it means to be herself when she trades places with a royal lookalike in this musical adventure. The creative mermaid, Lumina, not only has the power to change the colour of pearls and make them dance, but she is also a great hairdresser. Caligo summoned Scylla to poison the king's nectar but she refused, but he had his eel friends capture Lumina once he learned from them she is the missing princess.
