Naturally, like all fragrances of the legendary French brand, Chanel Coco Noir is expensive and noble. Beautiful fragrance, it begins fresh and spicy, then becomes richer, darker oriental with a floral touch, it dries down with a beautiful rose note embraced with sandalwood. As much as I love the phrase "nocturnal Baroque," I don't think Coco Noir fits that descriptor; I think OG Coco is closer to my idea of a nocturnal Baroque--it's much more complex and multilayered. A generous floral heart follows, boasting the sensuality of May rose and the unique note of geranium leaves, complemented by the magnetic allure of jasmine and daffodil. After three years since our meeting, I have never regretted it and I know that it will open up to me in a new way.

The frames are made of durable acrylic glass; the acrylic glass is protected on both sides by plastic film.

This all makes this fragrance far too strong and overwhelmimg to me and more like something that a man would wear almost, despite being unisex smelling in my opinion. And observed it evolve to a shy Allure Sensuelle Edp, which I really love, but sometimesI find too loud for everyday scent- I love the fragrance, but it is overwhelming during the summer. It's an absolutely perfect work scent for a woman who has warmth and depth, but also takes herself and her responsibilities seriously. It also is quite a mature fragrance and would certainly give you that edge in the boardroom when you want to feel confident in yourself, just don't douse yourself in this.

Has some aspects in common with Coco Mademoiselle (the same sour patchouli), but it's more green, more sour, juicier and more perfume-y, mixing aspects of old-style perfumery with the simpler scents of the latest decades. I wanted to continue exploring an entire esthetic range of CHANEL perfumery, a range that distinguishes itself from the Florals, one that is illustrated by Bois-des-Iles and Cuir de Russie. The top notes of Coco Noir include grapefruit, tart bergamot, and orange, leading to heart notes of rose, geranium, intoxicating patchouli, and enchanting jasmine.

I also tried Gabrielle a few weeks ago and although I wasn't blown away I thought it was a very nice fragrance. Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. They vastly tone down the clove note I HATE in perfumes (if only I liked it, because it sounds like Coco EDP and EDT have far superior longevity), which I appreciate, but…. It was around my teenage years, especially when I was an avid user of Tumblr, I used to see this perfume in so many stunning photographs and flat lays, so that instantly made me want to pick this up and try it out for myself.I have to be in a very specific mood to wear it, but when I am and the weather is just right, it’s so-so lovely. If you’re into Middle Eastern fragrances then the deeper notes of the Coco mademoiselle intense is going to be a good mixer to create an original signature scent with a arab scent layered underneath it to give it depth. But I have learned my lesson not to layer this fragrance with Laura Ashley's No1 fragrance it hid in the background while the spotlight was on No1. I disagree with the reviews mentioning bad lasting power, I can smell this on clothes days after I spray it. A: Chanel Coco Noir Eau De Parfum belongs to the Oriental fragrance family, characterized by its warm and sensual notes. The opening is almost identical to me to Mademoiselle's, a brisk citrus with aldehydes (yes, I know none are listed on here, but many, if not most Chanel perfumes smell as if they contain them regardless). It's quite confident, and probably better for those who have made it past the big 3-0 and up–though for all you old souls out there, don't let me stop you!I get a slight powderiness, too, along with a creaminess, and this quality is probably what keeps the strong patchouli note from seeming too noxious to me. I've never seriously considered a Chanel, but since I own numerous PdM and Creed, I thought I'd check out Chanel. Delightful very crowd pleasing mix of flowers in a warm woody base - I don’t find anything so “noir” in this one but there is a gentle breeze of warm spices. On me it mostly smells spicy/woodsy/musky, I can’t get any of the citrus notes or the vanilla notes. It was the first one I bought because I was becoming intrigued by this oriental-adjacent, aldehydic character that seemed to serve as an accessible point of entry leading towards what I thought of as vintage fragrances.
