I have been tired if listening about war novels that talk about seeing blood shed and in the middle of it. Even though I enjoy those books they get depressing. I really enjoyed this novel because it is about group of women who live in a small town and even though they talk about the war it is more about what they are doing as neighbors etc. educational games & toys, stationery (colouring sets, pencils, crayons, school sets), CDs & family friendly DVDs, books, puzzles, wordsearch, crosswords For a month, Belfast was relatively quiet, but worse violence flared after the funeral of RIC District Inspector Oswald Swanzy on 25 th August; he had been killed by the IRA in Lisburn several days earlier. In the week that followed, thirty-three people were killed.

With other characters that pop in and out, this delightful book will fill you with warmth hope, and emotion.

I read the synopsis for ‘Welcome To Weaver Street’ and it certainly sounded like the sort of book that I have come to expect from Chrissie Walsh – an emotional saga which is guaranteed to tug on the heart strings. Well it was that and so much more. I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Welcome To Weaver Street’ but more about that in a bit.
