Description

There are plenty of options when it comes to gun oils. And truthfully, most of them work well enough, especially if you regularly maintain your guns. Still, it’s helpful to consider what you expect from a gun oil before using it to clean and maintain your firearm. It doesn’t run or gum up even under extreme temperatures, and was actually originally designed for use with machine guns.

MADE IN THE USA ! Base Oils & Additives for Firearms Lubrication and Protection. Extra-long lasting, Will not harden or gum up. Please take a minute to watch our video located at the left sidebar. We here at Pew Pew Tactical have cleaned a lot of guns…like a lot. We’ve spent countless hours scrubbing, greasing, and oiling our firearms, so we know a thing or two about which products work and which don’t. We’ve used a lot of products! This is my reliable go-to for cleaning, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. The solvent is very strong, so it’s not the safest on skin. While Hoppe’s does claim that it’s safe to use, I recommend getting yourself a quality pair of gloves because taking extra safety steps never hurt anyone. The other thing to note is the smell; the Hoppe’s No. 9 has had a distinctive smell and it’s one of those smells where you either like it or hate it. If you hate it, I just hope you can bear it through a cleaning session because this is not a cleaner to miss out on.Before you start going for the performance oils above, make sure that you have at least one good CLP at home. If you’re going to maintain your guns properly and you want your firearms to achieve their best performance, you’re going to need a good gun oil.

Slip 2000 worked in my guns without issues, leaving a nice, mild shine. Interestingly enough, I thought the non-toxic, biodegradable stuff would smell funny, but it didn’t smell like much at all. Gun oils are an essential part of firearm cleaning and maintenance. These oils are used to lubricate friction surfaces, and protect your firearm from rust and corrosion.INSTEAD, USE CLEANING PELLETS – Cleaning pellets are a very efficient way to ensure your barrel stays clean. The general rule of thumb is to use one cleaning pellet after every tin of pellets you put through it. If you want to go the extra step, you can also make use of a cleaning rod as well. There are many shooters who dislike grease – I get it. It can be a bit messy and oil seems like a better solution. Mobile 1 Synthetic Motor Oil is so great for lubricating firearms, especially things like AR-15s, that it almost made #1 on this list as the best option for lubricating gun oil. PROTECT YOUR FIREARMS FROM FAILURE // Feel confident that your firearms will be well protected from corrosion and rust. Even more important, our formula provides carbon and contamination management during the use of your weapon. Our formula greatly reduces static (which promotes the attachment of carbon and contaminants). You depend on your firearms and need them to work when you need them most. Don’t allow second rate CLPs to compromise the integrity of your guns.

Fully synthetic lubricating oil / Extreme temperature range / Resists burnoff / High temp, high-viscosity index formula Oil, grease, and lube have been used for centuries in various forms and origins. Where there is friction, there is a need for lubricant. My first thought about oil, grease, and lube is that they all are lubricants in application, so for ease of explanation, I’ll use the word lubricant to describe all three. For different applications, there will be different needs and desires of the user for the lubricant. Napier Gun Oil is designed to weather extreme temperatures without compromising on its protective attributes. No matter the conditions, it guarantees your firearm's action and ejectors remain lubricated and functioning at their best. Ease of Cleaning with High Surface Adhesion Greases:Although not “oil,” grease can be very handy with firearms – especially heavy-use guns or those where you’re looking for the lubrication to stay where you put it. Grease stays where you put it (it doesn’t run like oil can) but it should be avoided in really cold weather.
