Description

They save time and work - components simply snap or slide into place on the rail, rather than having to panel mount each individual component separately. They promote neat and well-organised component layout, which is better for all-round safety and maintenance access

If you're setting up with a Plug-In Adapter, you can choose to temporarily connect your doorbell to your home wifi network before physically installing your device. Depending on the age of the home, the wires may not match the colours described. Consult an electrician if you are unsure. Chime units are often bigger than the DIN Rail Transformer, so when they are removed from a wall they can leave an unsightly, unpainted gap behind. Note: DO NOT USE any screw other than the included mounting screws when securing your Ring doorbell. Here you can see there is a slight opening in the plastic, and two wires are going inside. These are connected to the doorbell mechanism, so you should disconnect these wires.

Note: If you're installing on wood or siding, you can skip this step. 11. Connect the doorbell wires

Tech Specs

Locate the output cables that are connected to your doorbell. These may be connected to the terminals marked ‘output’, ‘8V AC, 12V AC’ or a similar low voltage. Disconnect these cables and put them to one side. Ring your existing doorbell and listen for the chime. If it rings, you'll know your existing doorbell system is working. Follow the sound to find your chime and make a mental note of the location. For your safety, only use an existing doorbell transformer within the supported range (16 to 24 VAC, 50/60Hz, 10VA to 40VA) or DIN Rail Transformer (24Vdc, 420mA) to power your Video Doorbell Pro or Pro 2. Traditional DIN Rail transformers are 35 mm wide. The Ring DIN Rail Transformer can be removed from its housing to be a more compact 17.5 mm. Your existing transformer can be found in one of the following places, and usually has a label saying 8-12 V AC.

You’ve now replaced your transformer and bypassed your existing doorbell. A successful bypass should look something like the image below. Now you’re ready to install your Ring Video Doorbell Pro! Note: Do not use any screw other than the included long mounting screws when securing your Ring doorbell. To do this, grasp the bottom of the faceplate and pull while pushing in on the centre of the doorbell. 9. Mark the screw holes CAUTION: You'll be working with electrical wires during the installation process. If you are uncomfortable or inexperienced with doing so, consult a qualified electrician. 3. Grab the included bypass cable

Similar to but distinct from hydraulic valves, solenoid valves are an electromechanical component acting as a functional interface between electrical or electronic control systems and pneumatic drives, using an electric current to generate a magnetic field and thus operate a mechanism. This allows for the automatic operation of the valve, without requiring an engineer to physically manipulate it themselves. It may take a moment for your Video Doorbell Wired to power on. You'll know it's ready when it lights up and speaks. 14. Secure your Ring Video Doorbell using screw in bag B Ring your existing doorbell and listen for the chime. If it rings, we know your existing doorbell system is working. When installed, your existing doorbell chime will no longer function, so you will need to use a Ring Chime or Alexa-enabled speaker if you wish to hear a doorbell chime inside your home in addition to the notification on your phone or tablet.
