Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned.

Cette paire d'auteurs ont écrit 3 livres dans le même style; nous les possédons tous et Iggy Peck est notre favori (Rosie Revere vient en deuxième). You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! Filled with an array of beautiful and elegant drawings, this title poses all manner of architectural challenges for the user: from designing your own skyscraper, to drawing an island house or creating a Constructivist monument, and more. His parents are proud of their son, though sometimes surprised by some of Iggy's more inventive creations (like the tower he built out of used diapers). You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods. At the moment I struggle to find good books for my nearly 4 year old daughter as she is very smart and already read so many since she was little, so most of the books for her age are now too basic, yet the ones for the next age group up are often too complicated or too long. Andrea Beaty’s witty and engaging text flows with an easy rhythm that makes for a highly enjoyable read, matched perfectly with David Roberts joyous illustrations full of quirks and details that deepen the enjoyment of this humorous tale. His parents are proud of his fabulous creations, though they’re sometimes surprised by his materials.

Andrea Beaty is the author of many beloved children's books, including the bestselling Questioneers series (the latest of which is Aaron Slater and the Sneaky Snake), Happy Birthday, Madame Chapeau and One Girl. His parents are proud of his fabulous creations, though they’re sometimes surprised by his materials―who could forget the tower he built of dirty diapers?Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. It is also a super introduction to the Questioneers, a group of children who are role models in different fields, from science to illustration to engineering. That's why we take great care in curating a selection of products we know will be loved by parents and children alike.

A hilarious, irreverent book about doing your own thing Meet Iggy Peck―creative, independent, and not afraid to express himself! And then there is the fiercely funny Ted (DOCTOR TED, FIREFIGHTER TED, ARTIST TED) who can't be stopped when he puts his mind to something. Some of the dialect in all of these books is of course American, but doesn't detract from the stories at all. As the sequence of learning progresses, children will describe Iggy’s character and make comparisons with Miss Lila Greer’s character, using conjunctions. With Andrea Beaty’s irresistible rhyming text and David Roberts’s illustrations, this book will charm creative kids everywhere. My son was 5 years old when I bought these books and we've read them regularly, talked about the stories in detail and been inspired to build as a result. Many more new books are either in the pipeline or just released including His Royal Tinyness written by Sally Lloyd Jones - published by Walker Books, Chinese Emperor’s New Clothes by Ying Chang Compestine - published by Abrams, and soon to be published Don’t Blink by Amy Krouse Rosenthal – published by Random House picture books. I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! David Roberts was born in Liverpool - he loved drawing from an early age and couldn’t wait to escape high school to go to art college.

Your selection was perfect for our children and what really made the difference was your ability to engage with each child, discuss their interests and help them to choose a suitable book based on your extensive knowledge of the books you were selling. Miss Lila Greer’s Grade 2 class at Blue River Creek experiences an ingenious river pass rescue of teacher and classmates, thanks to Iggy Peck’s inventive problem-solving and the class’s keen teamwork.David created the Dirty Bertie character and continues to expand the series working with Alan Macdonald and Stripes Publishing.
