Here we are with the first opening of the LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020. As expected, the first gift is Harry Potter in his elegant dress for the Yule Ball. The focus on the Yule Ball has made this a particularly cohesive experience, and it’s been a lot of fun reliving the scenes, characters and even small little references to obscure scenes/props from the Goblet of Fire movie. I was really surprised (and impressed!) that such a obscure reference from the Goblet of Fire made its way into the Advent Calendar, and the gramophone actually makes for a great minifigure-scale build to flesh out the scene.
