Not only does the brand produce excellent spirits they also have some tasty liqueurs. Their coffee liqueur called XO Cafeand Citrónge Orangeare the most popular. Citrónge Besides the standard bottles, Patrón offers a wide range of limited editions. For example, collectible versions of Silver Tequila or extra-long aged Tequilas, like the Extra Anejo 5 Años, 7 Años, and 10 Años. I have badgered folk at Patrón for the percentage of Tahona distillate to Roller-mill distillate used to blend Patrón's core range of tequilas, but this is a closely guarded secret. Based on production capacity, my guess is this is somewhere between one-third to two-thirds and equal parts. Distilled in wooden casks for periods of time ranging from a few months to a few years, the pina of the blue agave plant, or its central stems are cut out, steam cooked and fermented, then distilled at least twice before it reaches the bottling process.

At 80 proof, the alcohol notes are very subtle this is testament to the textured smoothness achieved through multiple distillations. The limited Tequila edition is aged four years in French Limousin and American white oak barrels before being bottled in a handmade container. Tequila may be bottled without maturation or aged in oak barrels. The length of aging determines how it is labeled: Colorless blanco or silver tequila is aged fewer than two months in oak; reposado between two and 12 months; añejo for more than one year. Extra añejo is a category added in 2006 that includes tequila aged at least three years in oak vats under 600 liters. Generally, the longer tequila ages in oak, the smoother and more full-bodied it becomes.

For ultimate class, try the Gran Patrón Burdeos – Patrón’s top-of-the-line añejo tequila, aged in three separate oak barrels for the perfect flavour and aromas. Patron Silver is unlike any other tequila that you have ever tasted. Considering the uniqueness of this bold tequila, the uniformity in terms of quality that Patron is known for becomes all the more fascinating. Carefully crafted with Blue Weber agave, Patron Silver tequila is made in small batches to ensure the exceptional quality it is known for. Gran Patrón Burdeos is another aged premium Tequila from Hacienda Patrón. It's an amazing triple-distilled Tequila that ages in various barrels. First aged for a year in former Bourbon barrels, then for another ten months in French oak barrels, and eventually in former Bordeaux wine barrels for another two months. Every one of Clase Azul’s trademark tequila bottles is hand-sculpted and hand-painted by local artisans, with each one taking up to 11 days to make. The cause-focused tequila house has now taken its mission one step further with the launch of non-profit Fundación con Causa Azul. The charity advises those same talented artisans on how to build a business out of their intricate pottery skills. If we want to get technical, Mexican law requires all bottles of tequila to contain at least 51% Weber Blue Agave in its distilled product. This plant can be found in several regions of Mexico, but it grows on red soils that are elevated at more than 1500 feet from sea level.

Importantly, Patrón has strict quality requirements for the piña they buy. Those not meeting these requirements are rejected. Varieties include a tequila- coffee blend known as Patrón XO Cafe, a tequila-chocolate-coffee blend known as Patrón XO Cafe Dark Cocoa, and an orange liqueur known as Patrón Citrónge. [5]Another bottle that is famous for its unique design that is decorated with 21-karat gold lettering and design is as close to perfection as it gets. Its undiluted taste comes solely from pure agave, which was aged for ten years in French oak barrels. Its limited releases only bring 2,000 bottles per year, so try to get your hands on one. You will enjoy its clean yet rich taste and its mellow oaky flavor. 4. AsomBroso Reserva del Porto Extra Anejo Tipo Cinco. or the Extra-Anejo Tequila, is the extra old category, that is aged for more than three years, and has the richest aromas. They are best for sipping. Patron tequila is made by fermenting the fruit of the blue agave plant. The plant takes a long time to mature, taking nearly eight to ten years to reach the perfect level of ripeness. Effective Top Tube Length: Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s. The piña is the heart of the agave plant and in the case of Patrón, and other 100% agave tequilas, this is the source of all the sugars used in the fermentation. Patrón ensures a continuous supply of high-quality piña by having long-term contracts with its suppliers, mostly family-owned farms.
