American brand Char-Broil was one of the first companies to make charcoal barbecue grills for the home cook. We tested the two-burner grill, which is the smallest in the Char-Broil Gas2Coal 2.0 range. It measures 116.8cm (H) x 114cm (W) x 62.9cm (L), with a cooking area of 47.8cm x 44.5cm. We particularly liked the porcelain-enamelled grill plates, which produced restaurant-style grill marks that looked really impressive. The Char-Broil Gas2Coal 2.0 440 Hybrid Gas and Charcoal BBQ is a combination grill which easily converts from being gas powered to being charcoal powered in only three simple to perform steps in less than 60 seconds with no tools being required. Then all that needs to be done is to simply light the lumpwood charcoal or briquettes with the gas burners, with no lighter fluid being required, in one or two of the two included patented charcoal trays ensuring uniform heat and minimising flare-ups. In our opinion, the following BBQ accessories are an absolute must: a grill cover, BBQ tools and utensils, grilling gloves and a BBQ thermometer. Grill covers The cover helps to protect your barbecue from the weather and from dirt and debris, and it is a great way to protect your new Charbroil BBQ either during the winter months when not in use, or at the end of the day while still being left outside. Assembly took a while but was totally worth it, and the arms are great for storing plates or utensils while you cook up a storm. I didn't love the side burner, but it's easy enough to just put down the cover of this burner and use it as a resting place.
