Each region is lousy with secret nooks, hidden just out of view or behind a clever bit of foreground. Stunning visuals, powerful and beautiful soundtrack, Ori controls just like Ori and no other, performance at 60fps 1080p, nothing else to complain.

And that’s really the best praise you can give a sequel - it stays true to the spirit of the original, doubles down on what made it great, and gives you more stake in the world and options to navigate it. I think the lack of a map (can’t remember if you can unlock one or it just wasn’t that good a map) was a major issue as I hate just meandering around looking. These non-player characters pop up frequently, telling you about their home lives, their current predicaments, the changes happening to the world at large, and tidbits of information concerning Ori’s grand adventure.
