As Madison gets drawn into a mysterious investigation involving missing girls and secret hideaways, she finds herself embroiled in more and more danger. . . The character of Beatrice. I couldn't get to grips with her personality. At several points she describes herself as if she is introverted; she's afraid of confrontation, shies away from large groups of people, is anxious around attractive men etc; she seems to paint herself as a rather unremarkable, at times even timid person, yet she's also supposed to be a partner at a New York marketing firm at the age of 26. This didn't ring true for me and I didn't see why Beatrice had to have a high-flying job or be living in New York for the story to work.

From the vineyards of New Zealand to the majestic landscape of Ireland, The Missing Sister is the penultimate instalment in the multimillion-selling epic Seven Sisters from Lucinda Riley. A breathtaking story of love and loss, inspired by the mythology of the famous star constellation. While I was reading this I did think that this family suffered many problems and that annoyed me because I thought that yes, family's do have many problems and I thought this family always being kidnapped was unrealistic. So you can see that that annoyed me and that is another reason why I only rated it 4 and not a 5.

I loved this book. Another reviewer described it as a "crime fiction novel for people who don't like crime fiction" and I agree with that description. I've read a few crime fiction novels and really enjoyed them (e.g. the Millenium trilogy) but it can be a difficult genre to get right. I always feel overwhelmed when entering the crime section of a bookstore or library, faced with hundreds of books that look and sound the same. However, Sister stood out to me because it has a beautiful cover and not one you would associated with a crime investigation. It's serene as opposed to bold and bloody. I would have assumed it was more of a family drama novel and I believe this novel bridges the gap between the two genres. I liked Girl, Missing, but I did read it ages ago, and i've got more fussy about books, so if I re read it now I might not like it. It's two years after the events of Girl, Missing and life is not getting any easier for sixteen-year-old Lauren – exam pressure and a recent family heartbreak have taken their toll. In its core, Sister is an emotional story about two siblings and their relationship. While there is a mystery going on (and it is quite a good one), the focus is never completely on that - which is why I enjoyed this novel as much as I did. A lot of thrillers focus on the twists and turns, and because of that, the characters end up being flat. Here, that is not the case. I loved reading about both Beatrice and Tess, and I loved how their bond was always strong, no matter how different they were. This is one of those rare thrillers that got me really emotional, and I cared more for the characters, than the mystery - and I think that is why I was really moved and shaken at the end, when I found out what was really going on.A search of the area involving police specialist resources, the Coastguard and Bowland Mountain Rescue is continuing. "Bit spooky too!". In a statement, her family said: "We have been overwhelmed by the support from our community and would like to thank everyone for their ongoing efforts to help us find Nicola. Bunches of flowers were left at the scene from local dog walkers paying tribute to Ms Bulley and her family.

Laurel Aldridge, 62, was last seen at around 7:20am on Valentine's Day (Tuesday 14 February) when she left her home in Walberton near Arundel. Her dad said there was 'no sign' of her having fallen in the river. Ernest said: "There was no sign of a slip or falling in so our thought was 'has somebody got her'? A police spokesman said of the potential witness: "He has since been located and is currently being spoken to. Superintendent Sally Riley said: “We know that Nicola going missing has caused a great deal of concern for the wider local community, as well as obviously being an awful time for her family. Nicola has been missing for five days now, after she vanished while walking her dog on a towpath by the River Wyre in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire. He told the Mirror he was struggling to be in the same room as his granddaughters, aged six and nine, as they ask: “Where mummy is, and when is mummy coming home?” I rated it 4 because I didn't like some parts due to them being unrealistic or not very interesting, plus I also thought that Jam had a PSP in the first on that he scratched, not a DS so when I read that it quite confused me, but I might be wrong so ignore me if I am.

This isn’t a roller-coaster ride, rather than a thriller I’d call it psychological-suspense. Even rather than fast-paced with a pervading sense of menace, an uneasiness that quietly builds. Beatrice the successful level-headed older sister arrives from New York to unravel the mystery surrounding Tess’s death. Her flighty artistic kid sister who in her own condescending and slightly superior fashion she deeply loved. The Seven Sisters series is drawn to its epic, unforgettable conclusion in Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt. I Really didn't like Sister missing. I didn't think Girl, missing needed a sequel, and I found Lauren really annoying. The whole way through I was thinking, Come on Jam, dump her! (I did feel slightly mean for this.) but unfortunately he didn't. I thought he should have go together with Shelby, Cause I liked her better. If you like your stories fast-paced, full of dangers and conflicts and impossible situations, then you will love this book. Lauren and the others endure all manner of perils and threats, and the plot twists and turns like a helter-skelter. Characters turn out to be not what they seemed, and you never know from one chapter to the next who will suddenly change sides and betray or help. There is time, however, for ample exploration of Lauren's state of mind, particularly her guilt at not protecting Madison from harm and her despair as the whole horrible nightmare starts again. Ms Bulley's mum told the Sun: “Paul had to tell the girls what was going on. He just told them, ''Mummy's lost''. It's heartbreaking.”

This remains a missing person inquiry and at this time there is nothing to suggest any third-party involvement in Nicola’s disappearance. I appreciate that there are unanswered questions about what has happened to Nicola, but I would urge people not to speculate or spread false rumours. We will share updates when we can, but we must be factual. What rating do you give a book that definitely holds your interest and keeps you reading any time you can snatch a chunk of time, however small, yet leaves you disappointed and irritated when it ends? Which is more important - constantly being kept pulled into a story or coming away at the end of the book a satisfied reader??? an outstanding, accomplished, exceptional, carefully constructed and brilliantly plotted story with a wide range of settings that included every sister… there is a reason this series is loved by so many and that’s simply because the overall story told over several volumes is just a complete masterpiece.’ I really enjoyed this novel which was a relief as I haven't been getting on that well with some of my recent choices! It is outside of my usual genre being fiction and non-Christian.
