Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. Swing over to the LEGOLAND ® Windsor Resort this autumn to experience a mini golf course like no other! Daisy's sister Lily is non-verbal but she's learned Makaton at her new special school. She signs to Daisy that she wants a sleepover. Will family and friends somehow make Lily's party THE BEST SLEEPOVER IN THE WORLD? This devilish witch scares me. She is nasty and has two different personalities. When the mask slips, WATCH OUT. Be careful; she will PUNISH you if you DROP anything. You will pay. That one scene where she was trying to send Craig home just confirmed to me she was an awful person and as I was struggling with her anyway and all I knew about her personality was she was obsessed with her son...it did make the second half of the book a bit of a slog.

Eileen was a mother and befriends the teens, often inviting them over to her remote farmhouse, providing them with food, drinks, fun at the pond, and friendship making them feel like adults, and they loved going there. Also, her son Bill was good-looking and popular, and they looked forward to their visits.

When it finally comes around to Daisy's birthday, after much hesitation, she does indeed have a sleepover at home and realises that she had no need to be so worried about having her friends around her sister. Samantha writes in a hut at the end of her garden with a very affectionate Cavachon dog for company, but she keeps in touch with the world through: I can see The Ancient Egypt Sleepover being a brilliant book to use in the classroom when learning about Ancient Egypt Paul Watson wrote: Enter a Playroom like no other where every LEGO builder’s imagination will run wild! Explore a collection of LEGO build tables including a pirate island, a city full of skyscrapers and even a castle in ruins, each seeking a hero – which will you choose first? This was quite good. My only real complaint was that the author released the information of that summer VERY slowly. On the other hand, it built suspense rather well. This author has a good writing style, and I will be watching for more of her books.

Daisy semakin menyukai teman-teman barunya. Namun dia merasa kurang nyaman jika berada di dekat Chloe. I myself enjoyed this story as Jacqueline Wilson does have a great talent when it comes to writing stories which many children and adults can relate to, and also because she writes in such a way to make light of any situation which may be unpleasant. There was also a good use of illustration throughout the book, which was very useful in supporting the story, while at the same time, it was simple and did not divert too much attention away from reading. For fans of Harlan Coben, Miranda Rijks, and K. L. Slater. If you are looking for an eerie, sinister, frightening, creepy, and terrifying read, this is it! You may want to leave the lights on. I know these type of books are showing someone at the worst time in their lives but I really struggled with the characters in this one.

I have heard good things about Keri Beevis so I thank Boldwood books for a copy of her latest offering The sleepover. I would like to thank Kensington Books & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review. Where this read excels is with the atmosphere. King has done a fantastic job with creating a really chilling, unnerving atmosphere that did hook me in and have me on edge for the rest of the read. As the book progresses, King builds a sense of impending doom, we see Izzy become increasingly vulnerable and isolated until the big event towards the end of the read, which is actually not that big. I adored the atmosphere created but it felt like a waste as King really builds it up and then it did not go anywhere. These are the first words that come to mind now I have read this, the latest psychological thriller from Keri Beevis,I would also say it has elements of family drama and a ‘whodunit’ vibe as well Read our review of Marcy and the Riddle of the Sphinx Non-fiction Mummies Unwrappedby Tom Froese (Nosy Crow)

The Best Sleepover in the World - Penguin Books UK

This story is narrated by Daisy, she has a group of friends Amy, Bella, Chole & Emily. Amy & Bella are best friends, Chole & Emily are best friends, & daisy really likes Emily & wishes to be her best friend. All girls are good mannered except Chole & Chole hurts Daisy alot. When they start having sleepovers for each other's birthday party, chole makes it hard for Daisy, who howsoever never complains about Chole & is greatful that she got invited to the sleepovers. What the hell did I just read? Actually no I gave up 97% of the way through. I’ve had enough. The Sleepover is a terrible book,This book contains disturbing content: sexual abuse of a minor, physical abuse of minors, psychological abuse of minors, death of minors, physical abuse & torment of an adult woman, murder, attempted murder and suicide of adult women** A teddy bear left on the floor instantly conjured up thoughts of a little boy disappearing at say their grandparents house, instead the missing child is infact Twelve years old who'd stayed at a friend's house. So many times during The Sleepover, I thought I knew what happened and I was wrong apart from one thing, (which I’ll not spoil for you). I really enjoyed The Choice, this author's debut book, when I read it a few years ago so I have been hankering to see what she would offer up next. Although not quite hitting the same heady heights for me, this was a good solid read that kept my attention throughout and left me satisfied at its end. I returned from Cairo to London obsessed with all things ancient and Egyptian. I learned to read hieroglyphs and began to haunt the British Museum like a very tall, notebook-wielding spectre. I discovered that the museum occasionally hosts sleepovers in its Ancient Egyptian sculpture gallery, a thrilling opportunity for children and an absolute gift to an author of adventure fiction.
