While there’s nothing necessarily new when it comes to this story, there’s just something about a mean girl that really hits the spot for me. It's really a three and a half star read that I've rounded up to four as it doesn't really bring anything new or innovative to the genre and was relatively predictable. Brooks was interested in directing the film, according to actress Leslie Mann, who auditioned for a role but was not cast. Brooks places the epicenter of the Bigfoot war in a high-tech hideaway populated by the kind of people you might find in a Jurassic Park franchise: the schmo who doesn’t know how to do much of anything but tries anyway, the well-intentioned bleeding heart, the know-it-all intellectual who turns out to know the wrong things, the immigrant with a tough backstory and an instinct for survival. They do not have a good relationship, just moving from Buffalo to Florida soon after their husband/father was killed in a car accident.

Probably not but that’s ok with me because sometimes a book being good in the moment is really all I need. At school, the girls relentlessly bully Alex and escalate their cruel pranks after learning the circumstances of Ed’s death. As a way of learning to cope with the car accident Alex and her father had been in, Alex’s therapist had suggested that Alex keep a video diary.

Kate soon realizes that these women are not who they thought they were – women who will do anything to get what they want. Willie reunites with three old friends: Mo is a successful family man, while Paul and Tommy, who own a snowplowing business, are each having relationship issues. As small-town gossip weaves a harrowing web of jealousy, deceit, and betrayal, Kate and Alex discover that whether you’re in or out, the status quo can turn on you deadly fast.

Kate Turner and her daughter Alex are attempting to start fresh in Florida after the death of Kate's husband (Alex's father). You could tell they were best friends, but they all had stuff amongst them that was personal to each one of them". As it becomes harder for her to ignore the malicious undercurrent she senses among her new friends, Kate grows increasingly unsure of who to believe—and who to trust. She has also written the Audible Original novellas TELL HER STORY, THE HOUSE ON THE WATER and BURIED DEEP. You don't know what happens outside of Kate's husband dying in a car accident, but you know that part of the need for the move was for Alex to get a fresh start. Best Friends Forever is a page-turner of a read, delving into the often fraught world of female friendships and the wreckage left behind when they implode. Mean girls grow up to be mean moms with mean daughters in this entertaining domestic thriller from Hunt. For what may be the first time in her life, Kate Turner has made an almost-impulsive choice: to move with her teenage daughter, Alex, from Buffalo to a new home in Shoreham, Florida. The end and the beginning become one in a heart-pounding coming-of-age mystery about the power of friendship, fate, and inexplicable second chances. While Kate’s new life includes a love interest, it’s not a very interesting one or particularly well handled. In this chilling story from USA Today bestselling author Margot Hunt, a mother and daughter try to start over in an idyllic town only to get caught up in cliques, mind games…and murder. And let's not forget the book was supposed to be a thriller but there was nothing thrilling about it, no shocking plot twists.

Mean girls grow up to be mean moms with mean daughters in this entertaining domestic thriller from Hunt ( The Last Affair). She arrived on the waves in a half shell saying something about the size of her arsehole) but Lovely Girls falls into a similar pitfall. Kate can't understand why Alex is acting so aloof, why she doesn't want to go to school, the girls can't be that bad when their mothers are so welcoming. As we’re swept up in watching Kate and Alex acclimate themselves to Shoreham and its community just a little bit reminiscent of television’s “Desperate Housewives” (and maybe any of the “Real Housewives” programs you choose to name), those questions recede, only to reassert themselves and be answered as the novel progresses. These adorable mini polishes are made with the best product quality and skin compatibility - perfect for the young trend-setter.Although Kate makes fast friends with a trio of fellow moms, their daughters take an instant dislike to Alex, who attempts to document their bullying in her video diary.
