Unlike the (the current) La Nuit EDT this is 'still' radiating strongly from my hand, the EDT disappears in under 10 mins to become a skin-scent for sniffer dogs alone. Only time will tell if this new EDP actually performs properly...

Ombre noir is a warm, somewhat sweet, and somewhat spicy fragrance with a clean, fresh scent and a dark nature. It's a lovely perfume that doesn't stray into the extremely candy-like aroma but instead stays true to its masculinity.I have paid drastically less for middle eastern fragrances and they have been ten times better, both in strength and quality. However, it comes in a travel-friendly roller bottle that is 10 milliliters in size, and it is the ideal solution for always smelling great anytime and anywhere. It enables you to smell amazing in any situation, such as during a birthday party, wedding, or even when you have to travel. It pretty much stays like this for the duration of the rest of the wear, but a nice vetiver does begin to peak through to about the same level as the cedar. La Nuit is a warm slightly sweet and slightly spicy fragrance, that has a fresh cleanliness, and a dark character. Most significant factors to consider are longevity and sillage. The original la Nuit de L'homme has an average lifespan and sillage, so We cannot declare it a beast. These scents have moderate sillage and longevity with minor variations from the original. You may wear them to any event because of their incredible adaptability.

Initial projection is strong at around 6 feet. Sillage is strong as well leaving a noticeable scent trail around 6-8 feet long. Within an hour it had reduced to about arms length, with a modest scent trail. Sadly, at about the 5 hour mark, it had reduced to a faint skin scent and there was no more projection or scent trail. So not the best in terms of performance, especially considering it's an EDP. Opening is cardamom and lavender with a big hit of leather. I don't really get any of the grapefruit note. In the dry down the cardamom is still there, you start getting a creamy sweetness from the tonka, sandalwood, and patchouli, and the leather note is ramped way up. You can easily get the LNDL DNA from it, but it definitely goes its own direction from the rest of the line. This is truly awesome fragrance! To me, if you can conjure imagery from a scent, then you have accomplished something unique and exceptional. Your olfactory senses allow your mind to visualize...with La Nuit de l'Homme I find myself, "...upon a dark, cool night with a light breeze and a full moon shining bright, radiating off of clouds. I am in the woods - alone, but not afraid or cold. I am walking on a path to the one I love and I will be there soon...and, I know she is waiting for me." The longevity of this fragrance is above average, and you can expect a lifespan of seven to eight hours straight. However, this fragrance requires one to three puffs to sustain you through an average workday. I find this has a lot of the typical 'La nuit...' DNA and although I may be imagining things reminds me of either (or both?) Burberry Brit Rhythm/Brit Rhythm Intense and I think it's not only due to the strong leather notes (they do share several other notes-, cardamom, patchouli, lavender, tonka...).A true night-time scent - possibly year-round with milder application on a summer night, but absolutely do-able. Stunning, dark, sexy as hell and chic! Better for formal, but possible with up-scale casual attire. This can wear you, if you are not confident and know what you want out of "that night". If you are in a Nascar shirt and jeans shooting pool and wear this, you have offended this fragrance and the bottle should be taken away from you at once.

It is versatile enough to be worn in a casual environment and the office. In addition, this mystical scent will gain you several compliments from your coworkers. Seasonally, it is better in cooler to moderate conditions; it is not a summer perfume. The Riflesso Trussardi is a three-note fragrance with a unique combination of ingredients, plants, and herbs to produce a fresh, long-lasting smell that may become addicting. This scent has a bold presence, yet it surprises you with its exotic undertones and compositions. A mysterious veil and an explosive spicy accord unveil cardamom with the dazzling crispness of lavender, Bergamot, and cedar, representing men's power. Vetiver and Caraway in the base provide a sensual feel and an elegant and sophisticated conclusion to the fragrance. The cardamom will strike you straight immediately at the top. This note is a supporting character, but in ombré noir, it is a significant attraction. This note blends with a very faint citrusy note of Bergamot and lemon, which adds brightness and scent to the formula.

How Did We Picked La Nuit De L’homme Dupe?

They added the Synthetic Rum dna of 'Wanted By Night' to it, making the dna more cloyingly sweet, and ruining the masterpiece elegance that is in 'La Nuit'. An amazing fragrance. This makes my skin chemistry heavenly. If I had to choose one winter/night time scent for the rest of my life, it would be this one. This leans 70% masculine, but it actually beats other masculine fragrances because its sweetness is more akin to an alcoholic drink rather than the safe and cloying caramel/vanilla that some other masculine scents constantly retreat into to appear nice. It also doesn't have that generic heavy quality that I've noticed in some highly masculine fragrances either, as it seems to fit my skin like an airy glove.

Yes, I know. It has been reformulated. Whilst I have never smelled the original, and therefore my opinion might be lesser, I can wholeheartedly say that the quality as of scent on this fragrance is still out of this world. The cardamom gives it this masculine and playful touch. A touch of lavender and bergamot finishes it off nicely. The scent as a whole is just to adore. For me the flankers must have the original dna + something new. for example, allure homme has great flankers. dior homme has great flankers. acqua di gio has great flankers too. so, ysl continues to destroy the reputation of the masterpiece la nuit de l'homme with the worst flankers line in the history. the only good sequel of la nuit is the frozen cologne, because it is the fresher version of the original. the electric, the le parfum, the intense..all trash. generic smell and different from the original which ysl keeps on watering down but all in all is still the best. Yves Saint Laurent presents a new edition of the masculine fragrance line L'Homme, from its La Nuit de L'Homme subcollection. La Nuit de L'Homme Eau Électrique is described as a “wild” fragrance of a “seducer” who “makes the night his territory” and “nobody can resist his charm, at the edge of elegance and freedom.” The fragrance is conceived as a tension between the freshness of a modern fougere composition and a sensual trace of vanilla. Three noses worked on the composition: Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo. In short, this fragrance is a unisex version of L'Homme. It starts sweet and gentle. In fact, it's straight up a rosy women's scent. Then there's some warmth, and then spicy high-frequency electric vibrance. For me, these do not go too well together. It's like the perfume is simultaneously trying to go in different directions. Are we doing rosy? Warm? Spicy? Fresh? Can't tell. There's just too much going on. Armaf Tag Him Prestige Edition EDT Men a very good, sweet, mild powdery, citrus blood orange, floral lavender, and spicy fragrance.
