Once Paco Rabanne Invictus Aqua Men EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a very soft, airy powdery floral and citrus fragrance with very soft woody accords.

When you take away the harsh and intense nature from the original, you're left with a very pleasant, fruity scent. A final thought I have is that Aqua '16 can easily be worn year round, whereas, Aqua '18 is a true summer flanker. It just smells better to me and more mature, albeit little more common, kinds reminds me of Dylan Blue with original Invictus DNA.As for the differences between the 2016 and 2018 versions of Invictus Aqua, they are not vast like some influencers or their army of minions will lead you to believe, but there is a noticeable change in the opening moments.

Top notes are Grapefruit and Violet Leaf; middle notes are Sea Notes, Violet, Woody Notes and Palisander Rosewood; base notes are Ambergris and Amberwood.I love the original aqua formulation and it is, indeed, a compliment getter, with a great longevity and an awesome yuzu - ambergris salty notes.

Good but nothing amazing is my current view on it, but I do have many loved fragrances I started off all like 'meh' about. Although I don’t really like the synthetic sweet aquatic vibe this works well for a car freshener I always get complimented. I can totally see why this fragrance is one of the most iconic of the last few years and probably for years to come, if Paco Rabanne bothers to release another version of Aqua. It's a very weak fragrance and if you're looking for a freshie then there are thousands that are better.

After it does not become a skin scent but it transforms in a bubble aura, why I'm telling it because after 1. Same invictus bubblegum DNA but more aquatic and salty making it less sweet and more fresh and balanced. I managed to find a single bottle of the 2018 Invictus Aqua at a local discounter and snapped it up right away.
