Pros: Graphics, sound effects, new maps, new guns, new interface, new zombie mode, campaign, camping virtually impossible --- Pros for this game include improved graphics, as well as improved sound effects. The new maps are designed to make it fair regardless of your spawn. Their are old guns and new guns, but overall they are good weapons. There is a new interface for creating a class and for playing with friends. Zombie mode has been updated to not only allow for traditional play, but there is new game types and more then 4 players. Campaign mode is pretty fun, very intense at times and, although futuristic, still seems realistic. Camping in online gameplay has been become virtually impossible due to spawn changing. ~ Cons: Adjusting to gameplay, camping virtually impossible, spawn point s not perfect, spawns flip frequently, always killed from behind. --- Cons for this game include trying to adjust to gameplay may take some time. Camping has been virtually stopped, whether good or bad, spawns sometimes cause spawn killing, spawns are flipped very easily and frequently, and being killed by an enemy from behind is extremely common. ~ Overall impression: at first, wanted to return it, but after I adjusted I now think it's the best CoD so far. Being a lousy shot (landing only limb shots) will make for a more positive ending, provided Menendez is killed, instead of captured, in Judgment Day.

The multiplayer, on the other hand, remains peerless. Huge, deep, streamlined and varied, it raises the bar yet further for online shooters – especially with the new focus on eSports and CoD-casting. 343 Industries may run a very close second this year, but Call of Duty is still the boss on the battlefield. Certain decisions (and actions) made in the story campaign will determine dialogue and the appearance of NPCs in later missions. Single Player - I have played all of the other campaigns in the series. This one is by far the best. Call of Duty has never really blown me away by the campaigns. The linear style gameplay gets old after a while (Go this way, do this, do this). I found myself raising an eyebrow several times in regard to the reality factor as well (even taking into account that it's just a game). However, the stars have alligned and Activision has delivered a solid campaign experience worth embarking on. I won't dive into a lot of details , but you are actually involved in some decision-making finally giving the player some kind of control. The campaign is enjoyable and has some great moments. Graphics are really good as usual. Although you don't have complete control over everything, this campaign delivers a worth-while and more invloved-than-ever experience. Dave, Parish (July 15, 2014). "Ex-dictator Manuel Noriega sues Activision over 'Call of Duty' game". Los Angeles Times. Archived from the original on July 16, 2014 . Retrieved July 15, 2014. There is also 3D support if players are playing with an HDMI cable on a 3D TV. Before entering multiplayer mode, there is a 3D setting in the "options" menu. [46] Japanese releasesKillstreaks from previous Call of Duty games are renamed as Scorestreaks, which are now earned by gaining points, rather than kills. This allows the player to focus on objective modes, which also earn points towards Scorestreaks. In the past, the story of the game was played continuously and follow what the creative team set out. But in this game, that has changed when the player’s choice will affect the game’s storyline to lead to something else. The plot will be divided into branches, and depending on what you select, that will lead to a different outcome. So if you want to experience the whole story of the game, the player will have to play the game more than once to learn the entire end of the game. This feature is a new thing added to the game to make the game much more interesting than before. Following their battles in Shanghai, Russman leads the group across the continents to a large hole in the ground known as The Rift in Africa, hoping to find answers about the unseen forces commanding them. Richtofen commands Samuel to "mend the rift". The four gain a new ally in the form of a mute giant (real name later known as Arthur) in a Western town warped underground by temporal displacement, and are hampered by a ghostly woman in a massive mansion. In the canonical ending, the group aids Maxis, allowing him to use the power from the towers to enter the Aether and assume ultimate control, trapping Richtofen in a zombie's body. However, the Earth begins shaking, and Maxis explains to the four that he is beginning the process of the destruction of the Earth and humanity to reach Agartha, where he believes Samantha is; in the non-canon ending, the group aids Richtofen, letting him gain unlimited power over the Aether and the Earth, allowing him to kill Maxis and condemn Samantha's soul to eternal damnation. In addition to gameplay changes, the traditionally linear Call of Duty story structure saw an update as well. The game’s branching storylines, dictated by the actions of the player during Strike Force missions sprinkled throughout the campaign, changed the game’s ending by tilting its US/China Cold War one way or the other. The fates of a number of key characters are fluid as well, encouraging multiple playthroughs for fans who want to see it all.

The action is non stop and full of great scenes. You'll ride in jets, futuristic transports and by golly, horses! Weapons are varied and each has a strength and weakness. As campaigns go, I think most shooter fans will embrace this game well. Killing the admiral will bring on graver consequences for the Obama. Merely shooting a limb will let him recover and save the vessel from complete destruction. (If you wait long enough, you can avoid the choice of shooting Briggs, ultimately saving his life) Call of Duty: A Short History". IGN. Ziff Davis. November 2013. Play in parties. The game is a lot easier when you're playing with buddies that you can communicate with. Trust me, the other team will do it and 9 times out of 10 that's the team that wins. Multiplayer: 7.5/10 Read full review Reveals clue about a mole (or traitor), and spawns the file item in Time and Fate. Otherwise, the lead may not appear. Stuart, Keith (January 14, 2016). "Call of Duty publisher sued by family of Angolan rebel". The Guardian– via www.theguardian.com. Marty Sliva of 1UP gave the game a B+ while praising it's freedom of choice in game modes and gameplay variety: "I was surprised with the risks that Treyarch took in the name of delivering a unique and creative experience. Not all of them paid off, but knowing that the team was willing to eschew the safe route helped ward off any stagnation that may have begun to creep into the series as of late." [69]
