I had to edit my original thoughts, I didn't even read the blurb before getting this because this is an author I sorta trusted.....but the h having once been with his brother and him having married her best friend is a little too much keeping it in the family for me. The world's a big place there must have been other options man Instead, he weighed the options between diced tomatoes with or without green peppers while shopkeeper Bill House complained to him. All I did was over police a woman I was attracted to because I wanted to control her actions at all times. I basically fell in love with her at first sight, which is kind of sketch since I’m 24 and she’s only 16, but I never tried to act on it until everything was legal so nbd. I did promise her we would start a relationship and then fled our hometown instead of talking to her again. Even though she tried to convince me over and over again that she wanted me and wanted my love, I teased her and taunted her for years, but ultimately rejected her completely and repeatedly. I did teach her she was unloveable and really too much to handle through my repeated rejection, but then I got mad at her when she thinks she’s unlovable. Ultimately I decided to marry her best friend to “make her hurt the way I did” and “ruin any chance I had with her” but also now I’m punishing her for not trusting me. No More Secrets is the first book in the Blue Moon Series by Lucy Score. Have you ever read a story and wished that you could in that world forever? If not, kindly grab a copy of Lucy Score’s books. She creates, a delightful reading, witty dialogues, and characters that you wish they could be your friends the Scores with cutest names, and the monthly newspaper and Facebook group? Who on earth wouldn’t want to be part of that world? he always knew she wanted to get out of the small town and wouldn’t ever settle but he didn’t want to leaveThe story went that little Remi Ford caused a fuss in kindergarten when she demanded a pink crayon to write her Es because everyone knew Es were pink. It took a few years, but her parents finally got an answer from a specialist. Their daughter’s brain created extra connections, tying colors to things like letters, words, people. It took him weeks to prepare mentally, to gird himself before being forced to exchange casual greetings across the dinner table. Lucy Score took this concept and gave us the ultimate look at how this feeling can tie up a man for years...how he had a love and need for a woman but always stopped himself from acting on his intense feelings. On the flip side, the woman causing all of this need and conflict always had feelings for this man but every time something might have finally happened between them...Walls were erected and hurt was inflicted. what follows is admittedly a rambly one & I probably could do better. Honestly, I’m just ready not to think about this one anymore. So below is more of a reminder to myself why I won’t be rereading this, to air out my grievances…just a smidge 😉 & cut to the chase << might be spoilery, so fyi.} And before you ask me about the kids, let’s talk about how even though she may not look it, a woman can be more than the people she brings into this world.”

Forever Never: an unmissable and steamy romantic comedy from

Lucy Score is an instant #1 New York Times bestselling author. She grew up in a literary family who insisted that the dinner table was for reading and earned a degree in journalism. Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me. There is more to the story than just this major connection between two people. There is a woman who needs to escape from an abusive relationship, there are families and their pasts, and the dynamics of parents/husbands and wives. There is so much for every reader. I LOVE Blue Moon, every character and book has had my heart! Niko's adoration for Emma from the beginning was awesome! I love this book as much as I have loved the other three. The quirky town with the quirky characters is all so vivid in my mind I want to find it and move there! Cannot wait for the next book! I recommend all of Lucy Score's books, they are perfectly vivid, sweet, and fun! - Leigha the last time i felt anything like this was exodus by kate stewart . that says something since that book is my lifeline.

Too much smut. If you’ve looked at my GR shelves, you’re probably side-eyeing me 👀. Believe me, I’m there with you reading my own words, but the sheer volume just downplayed the romance & the plot too often in the second half. So much so I actually began skipping parts of the love scenes — if not all together later on. It felt so “wash, rinse & repeat” along with their kink just not being mine. {“hero” is POed at the heroine, instant steel rod in his pants, & they screw, then repeat.} I’ll start with what I liked, for the most part I liked the FMC Remi, she’s unique, funny, and brash. I liked the setting, the cute little island town was quaint and the thriller/mystery was also very compelling.

I love it when you box me in like this. When you don't give me an escape." - Doormat, erm, female leading character, sorry again. And it's not a cynical comment, she really means it.The writing, the main characters, - terrible. Selfish. And the whole “oh Remi you are just the most special girl in the world” and the other female characters hated her for being so special and taking all their shine literally made me want to burn the book. Spare me that bs please. His reason? Because he was convinced she was just like his mother, and didn't want the small town life. Now, mind you, he never actually ASKED her what she wanted. He decided FOR her what her life should look like, and brutally, and repeatedly, rejected her for it. He repeatedly chose his own emotional safety over hers, for years. THEN they finally get together, and he dumps her... rejecting her... AGAIN.... because he still won't ask her what she wants with her life. He just assumes she is like his mother.

This book is basically about a hero who makes it his life’s mission to push the heroine away because he believes he’s not good enough for her and that she has places to be without him. Heights to reach and dreams to fulfil without him. His whole life revolves around letting her go, yet he can’t help himself when she’s around. The push and pull is exhausting but thrilling. Had he bothered straightening to his full six feet four inches and looked up from the canned goods, he would have caught that telltale flash of red. The color of forest fires and the temptations of hell. Why have I chosen this book? I always wanted to read some book by this author, but I guess I should have started with another one... This book certainly didn't make a big impression. Even if the writing was good. Pretend You’re Mine is narrated from the point of view of the two lead characters: Luke Garrison and Harper Wilde. It’s an addictive light read featuring a multitude of dialogues. The plot focuses on the romance of the protagonists, but when we are advanced in the story, you will get good surprises because several turns appear that will have you even more hooked. Regarding the characters, the protagonists are very well crafted, and in the end, we see a clear development. Additionally, the story would not be the same without the secondary characters that contribute many things to the novel and enable the readers to get a better understanding of the main characters.Remi’s cheeks pinked up. “You’re looking a nice bright green today just like always,” she told him. Want to see something that will cheer you up?” He pulled out his phone. “Unless it’s that pit bull in the bathtub wearing a shower cap, no.” I loved how in their eyes, there was no one else. Their banter and the suspense was exceptional! Remi Ford was an absolute force of nature!
