Anas ibn Malik reported: A person came to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and said, “O best of creation!” So the Prophet said: A man from Kufah came to ask Sayyiduna Muhammad al-Baqir whether the hadith of the Prophet’s intercession was authentic.

The beloved Prophet (saw) does not want any of his Ummah to enter the fire and will do his utmost to intercede for every member of his Ummah. We are reminded of everything we have, of all the blessings in our lives. There are those with nothing, how can we be ungrateful to Allah? How can there be for the polytheists a treaty in the sight of Allah and with His Messenger, except for those with whom you made a treaty at al-Masjid al-Haram? So as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). And as for the petitioner, do not repel (him). But as for the favour of your Lord, report (it)’. [93:9-11] To build the habit of feeling regret at committing a sin, meaning that there should be no sin after which regret is not felt, also attracts divine love. Ibn Al-Qayyim, in his book Madarij As-Salikeen, gives us a prescription to help us gain the love of Allah:

No religion encourages showing affection, mutual love, and intimacy like Islam. Love in Islam is all encompassing, it promotes healthy and halal relationship between men and women, towards family, friends, and to your neighbor.Meaning, ‘Haply thou wilt grieve thyself to death because they believe not’. (Surah al-Shu‘ara, Ch.26: V.4) Say: If you should love Allah, then follow me. Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, for Allah is forgiving and merciful. Surah Al Imran 3:31

Here, love is not merely described as an action but also as one of the Divine Names of Allah s.w.t - Al-Wadud. Other Divine Names mentioned also imply the meaning of love. This tells us that love plays a very significant part, not just in the lives of human beings, but also in the whole of creation. Allah s.w.t. says in the Quran: The true servants of Allah are those who carry themselves with humility and they forgive people for their bad behavior. Sunan Ibn Majah Grade : Hasan (Darussalam) English reference : Vol. 3, Book 9, Hadith 1853 Arabic reference : Book 9, Hadith 1926 Islamic Quotes About Love for Allah Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful. Quran 4:36 Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves.}( 2:222)The Prophet ﷺ said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfil his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.” [ al-Muʻjam al-Awsaṭ 6/139 ] Indeed, Allah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves” [Quran, 2:222] When trouble touches a man, he cries unto Us (in all postures), lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passes on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! Thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!(Yunus 10:12 ) When a person inculcates the habit of acting for the sake of another entity, they slowly begin to love that entity. It is for this reason that servants and workers love the kings, royals and rulers they serve, because they have inculcated the habit of working for their sake and serving them … We are reminded that Allah has not left us alone. He is always there, watching over us, and soon He will give.

He confirmed that it was and then he said, 'You say that the most hopeful verse in the Qur’an is " My slaves who have wronged themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Allah forgives all sins. Truly He is the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful" [39:53]. We say, however, that the most hopeful verse is " And your Lord is going to give to you, and you will be satisfied' [93:5]'. This means that if you continue to remember Him, then you will eventually attain a status in which Allah will begin to remember you. ( Ta‘alluq Billah, Anwar-ul-Ulum, Vol. 23, pp. 186-187) 2. Fikr: Reflection Meaning, ‘And follow the nature made by Allah – the nature in which He has created mankind’. (Surah al-Rum, Ch.30: V.31) But yes, whoever fulfills his commitment and fears Allah – then indeed, Allah loves those who fear Him.} ( 3:76)

10. Study the nature of love

We refer to the Quran to find meaning in every aspect of our lives. Allah s.w.t. says in the Quran: Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: The Prophet (S) said: “He who perfumes himself for Allah, most High, will be raised on the Day of Resurrection, smelling more fragrant than sweet musk, whereas he who perfumes himself for other than Allah will be raised on the Day of Resurrection smelling more putrid than a corpse” [ al-Mahajjat al-Baydha, v. 8, p. 105]
