How we received your data: We received your personal information (data) from the retailer from whom you bought your Furniture Protection Policy.

A. No, FabriCoat is designed to dry with a soft, flexible finish, allowing you to recolour, or change the colour of your fabric items without changing how they feel. However, if you apply too much fabric paint, or if the material you are applying it to feels very soft/silky/velvety prior to application, then it may slightly stiffen the fabric. This can be reduced by brushing the fabric afterwards with our Cleaning Brush. Dampen the fabric first with water. We recommend spraying water on with a trigger spray bottle, but if you don’t have one you can wipe it on too with a sponge or cloth. The water will help the FabriCoat soak into the material better, and will also help create a more even finish. Interiors Foam - excessive loss of resilience (ELOR) of interior foam fillings, which for the purposes of this insurance means collapsing, sagging or softening, in use, by more than 30% of the original state or other acceptable cushion in your furniture range or showroom model where available; Fibre - fibre fillings, which will naturally soften and decompress over time, being identified as having insufficient interior filling when compared to other comparable cushions or manufacturing standard. Years 1-5 : a sudden and unintentional incident resulting in a stain or damage to your furniture. When relating to wood, metal or high gloss finishes, cover is limited to scratches which have penetrated into the surface finish by over 1.5mm.

A. Our Fabric Paint is not an acrylic paint, it is made from polyurethanes and so is a lot more flexible. We wouldn't recommend using an acrylic paint on fabric. Unlike a dye, fabric paint does not require steaming or boiling to fix the colour to the fibres. It can be applied by brush, cloth, or spray applicator, making it much more environmentally friendly and convenient to use. any stain or damage caused by contractors in your home, neglect, abuse, misuse, malicious damage, theft, fire, scorching, flood, burst pipes (including radiator leaks), sunlight, wind, weather, leaking roofs (including roof windows) or leaking conservatories; In the first instance, we will settle valid claims by sending you a specialised stain remover product (if appropriate), or cleaning or repairing your damaged product as we see fit. If the product cannot be satisfactorily cleaned or repaired, we will replace the part or product. Once you are happy with the colour leave it to dry overnight and your fabric is ready to use. Step 3 – Protecting the fabric In this blog, we look at the process involved in changing the colour of a velvet upholstered dressing table stool from a dusty pink colour to a ‘Hawaiian Blue’. There are many different colours to choose from in our FabriCoat Fabric Paint range, so there is a colour to suit everyone. We recommend that the fabric you are changing should be the same colour or lighter than the colour you are applying. For small items, such as clothing, wash these in a washing machine without adding fabric conditioner. Step 2 – Applying the FabriCoat fabric paint Make sure the material is clean and free of dust. For best results, the fabric must be the same colour or lighter than the colour you are applying. The material must also be absorbent.
