Prior to joining the ECI at Oxford, Charlie spent 11 years with the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of East Anglia (UK). He holds a PhD from the University of British Columbia (Canada) on the social and behavioural determinants of energy use. Before his PhD, he worked for a number of years in the private sector in both renewable energy and carbon finance. The consultant preferred a unit that incorporated a PICV valve rather than a differential pressure control valve, which we were able to provide. The other requirements were for a compact design and low return temperature. The units supplied incorporated a first fix rail arrangement and flushing by-pass valve. Safety of course remains our highest priority. To make sure our customers, colleagues and suppliers stay safe within our offices we are ensuring that cleaning and hygiene protocols are even more rigorous than usual. All of our colleagues are following personal hygiene guidance and being asked to regularly wash their hands. We currently have access to alcohol-based hand sanitisers within our offices and we are regularly cleaning door handles, credit/debit card machines and all areas within our building. We have now stopped all physical non critical business meetings taking place until further notice, including non-delivery visits from suppliers, training and face to face meetings. Instead, we are conducting those sessions using conference calls, phone and video calls where possible. We are taking this approach as a proactive preventative measure. The RHP Darts of Hazzard, whose home turf is the RHP Sports and Social Club, are regular competitors in the Newark and District Double Darts League, taking on other regional teams in a series of seasonal fixtures.
