Once the initial fuel, ignition and valvetrain adjustments have been made and initial dyno pulls completed, shut the engine off, drain the break-in oil, and remove and inspect the oil filter for any signs of trouble (such as metallic debris that indicates unusual wear is occurring). With Lucas High Performance Assembly Lube, technicians and engineers can pre-lubricate bearings, camshaft, lifters, and valve train components.

It’s applied before any other lubricant to keep the parts smooth and lubricated until any other lubricant is used.

Many people say a conventional mineral-based SAE 30 motor oil that contains extra extreme pressure additive (ZDDP and/or moly) and little or no friction modifiers is best for engine break-in. Additionally, assembly lube is typically made from oil-based products like petroleum or synthetic oils. Grease, on the other hand, is usually made from a combination of soap and oil. This lube blends easily with the engine oil. This is why after the engine started up there was no clogging problem. The engine sound was quite satisfying.

Some assembly lubes seems like tar to me. Those can’t be washed off easily, which is irritating. But this one gave me a sigh of relief. These are washable. You can wash them easily with soap and a regular amount of water. Even if you have them on your clothes, you can remove them without worries.
