Description

This strange looking mutant is the end goal of many a Chaos Lord, a Daemon Prince. While he shares most of the standard abilities, he loses out on a point of Invulnerable save. He makes up for that with avastly improved stat line and cost. If what you’re looking for is a, relatively, fast moving assault HQ, then the Daemon Prince is your man…. er …. thing. His plaguespewer fires at Heavy 2D6 with auto-hits out to 12 inches. Naturally, it is a plague weapon with a heavy flamer profile. His plague claw hits like a powerfist, but again plague weapon for the win. Finally, the Master of Destruction aura improves the AP of nearby ranged plague weapons by 1 on wound rolls of 6. It makes for a solid buff for all almost all of your heavy and special weapons in CORE units. Lord of Contagion

Warhammer 40,000 Battleforces – Praise the Emperor This

Killdakka, what a wonderful word to say out loud… Ork speech is poetry when you think about it. This box includes 20 Boyz, plus a Deffkilla Wartrike, your choice of Orky aeroplane, and a Big Mek. That’s lots of kill, and indeed dakka. The quest to save Ulfenkarn comes to an end with the final expansion for Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Nightwars will bring your heroes’ gruelling journey to a close with new quests, new enemies, and new ways to use your Soulblight Gravelords collection. You’ll need the previous expansion, and the required miniatures to play.

The definitive Lord of the Death Guard, Typhus comes with a variety of powers highlighting his power and lore. As the Herald of Nurgle, he may find his way into any Plague Company. However, only with the Harbingers will he carry a contagion. With his Vector of Disease adding 3 inches to their range you’ll want him to have that contagion. Likewise, the Master of the Dead Who Walk aura adds to the effectiveness of Poxwalkers and combines effectively with The Wrathful Dead company stratagem. A Collegiate Mage’s assistant chronicles the downfall of their settlement as the seven portents of decay manifest. Choosing a Death Guard Chaos Lord for your HQ means you’re running your plague company on a budget. He has a basic profile in power armor, broad selection of ranged and melee weapons, and Lord of the Death Guard aura to boost his followers in melee. A 4+ invulnerable from the Sigil of Corruption never is out of style either. Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend. The real shame of this box is that Sisters tanks just don’t see much play. While Exorcists were a mainstay of Sisters armies prior to their 2021 codex, modern competitive forces rely much more on foot-slogging lists, potentially with the support of a rhino or two. That said, Immolators do see some use in good lists here and there – most recently at the North and South GT in a top 4 list, where taking 1-2 can give you a tough, mobile source of multi-melta shots, and a recent September GT-winning list featured an Exorcist, and neither are bad units. Beyond that, the Sacresants and battle sisters are must-haves in every Adepta Sororitas army and the Dogmata shows up in most, making this a box that’s great for new players and potentially still a good value for players looking to add to their army who don’t mind adding a couple of tanks. Final Verdict: Good Value

Death Guard - The Outpost Death Guard - The Outpost

This box includes a host of Plague Marines and Deathshroud Bodyguard, accompanied by daemon-touched war machines – three Myphitic Blight-haulers and a Plagueburst Crawler – all able to withstand a huge amount of punishment before crashing into the enemy lines in an inexorable wave of stench and decay. Add a little more finesse to your slaughter with the Sybarite Blade-Carnival, which collects a cavalcade of elite Slaanesh Mortals in one place. When these peerless warriors aren’t preening, they’re a surgical strike force comprising 30 miniatures – perfect for tearing reality in two and summoning gaggles of Daemonettes. The Warhammer 40,000 design studio discuss the ever-shifting balance of power in the 41st Millennium.Alternately, here’s an excellent opportunity to practice your converting skills. You get just the loadout you want and unique appearance. He’ll be yours and yours alone! Death Guard Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor This clutch of Knights is a perfectly sized army project – it’s just a handful of miniatures, after all… The Chainbreaker Lance contains four Armiger-class knights led by Canis Rex , a legendary steed piloted by the equally epic Sir Hekhtur. For those of a less Freeblade persuasion, Canis Rex can also be constructed as any Questoris-class Knight. Battleforce: Thousand Sons – Court of The Crimson King Decorate your hearth with bolter, melta, and flamer, for this box has ‘em all and more. Along with a Sister Dogmata and a squad each of Battle Sisters and Celestian Sacresants, this force also includes two giant tanks that will definitely add a little spice to your holiday carnage.
