PLUS Platinum Certification: Ensures ultra-high efficiency operation for less excess heat and lower operating costs.

As the power consumption of graphics cards has increased, so has their demand for power. The SFX series is designed to support NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards, ready to supply the graphics card according to their different ways of connections.Oct 16th 2023 Thermaltake Unveils Its First Ever Bumblebee-Colored Product in The Tower 200 Mini Chassis Series (19) The unit passes our Cross Load testing without any problems. When hit with 60 AMPS the +12V rail held at 11.88. Not a very realistic situation in real life, but a good sign that the design works well. During a power interruption, your computer might shut down or reboot. We make sure the SFX series will deliver at least 17 ms at 100% workload, without system reboot or resetting. Unfortunately in the real world, Power Factor is reduced by highly inductive loads down to values of 0.7 (70%) or less. This induction is caused by equipment such as small electric motors, fans, fluorescent lighting ballasts and transformers such as those in PSUs. This is bad news for the electricity generating companies who can impose a surcharge on heavy users if they have a consistently low Power Factor, as more electricity has to be produced to make up the shortfall.

Not cheap actually... just high margin, larger sizes does make life easier on BOM costs.Honestly, SFX-L is perfectly reasonable even at that cost for 1000W. It is possible to make a 1000W SFX unit, but it would take pretty much the best possible components today, and would still struggle with cooling and having sufficient bulk capacitance to support ATX 3.0 power excursion specs.Today we take a look at one of the newest power supplies from market leader Corsair – their new SF750 SFX Platinum. Previously the SF Platinum series shipped in only 450W and 650W capacities, so this new high model will appeal to the hard core enthusiast user looking for a high wattage small form factor supply. This supply also features a larger 92mm fan, rather than 80mm and it has a ‘Zero RPM Fan mode' to reduce noise output under lower load situations.

The Evolv Shift XT’s innovative design allows the chassis to extend its height to tailor the cooling performance to your need. In “Compact” mode, the Evolv Shift XT can house systems with up to 324mm long 3-slot GPUs and 72mm tall CPU coolers that have direct access to fresh air. In “Air Boost” or “Liquid Cooled” mode, the height can be increased from 32mm to 60mm respectively for further hardware compatibilities like adding 2x 120/140mm fans (Air Boost) or a 240 AIO Liquid Cooler (Liquid Cooled) for the best possible performance. On top of that, the built-in Smart Zero Fan (750 W&850 W: 92 mm; 1000 W: 120 mm) makes absolutely no noise at all when running under 30% load. The Toughpower SFX series features low ripple noise, strict voltage regulation, and extended hold-up time. Firstly, from 0% to 100% load, ripple noise produced from 12 V, 5 V, and 3.3 V are consistently under 30 mV, bringing extensive lifespan and overall superior protection for your system. Secondly, the Toughpower SFX series promises ±2% voltage regulation compared with Intel's standard +5%, -7%, and ±10% for -12 V. Last but not least, the 17 ms hold-up time will prevent your system from rebooting and makes sure the system still runs perfectly even with a brief interruption. There are a total of eight individually sleeved modular cables in the box and there are plenty of connectors to cater for the majority of enthusiast system builds. We can see that the 750W version also ships with 2 4+4 Pin EPX/ATX12V connectors, a great addition to see. The cables are quite short, intentionally, to ensure system builders are not dealing with very long cables inside a small form factor case. It is worth noting this however if, for some reason you are intend on using this power supply inside a larger chassis. Designed with a native PCIe 12+4 pin modular connector, the Toughpower SFX series is built for next-gen PCIe Gen 5.0 graphic cards, and is fully compatible with Intel ATX 3.0 specifications. The fully modular Toughpower SFX series comes in 1000 W, 850 W, and 750 W, and is built to deliver 80 PLUS Gold efficiency. The compact size of Toughpower SFX Gold series perfectly fits in any ATX or ITX case. This Phanteks SFX PSU is 80 Plus Platinum certified, achieving 92% efficiency at 50% system load. Not only is this power supply efficient, the Revolt SFX is equipped with a silent zero RPM mode. This means when the PSU is below 30% system load the high quality 92mm Fluid Dynamic Bearing fan is inactive, enabling ultimate silence. You're in!

Thermaltake, the leading PC DIY premium brand for Case, Cooling, Gaming peripherals, and enthusiast memory solutions, is excited to announce their latest addition to the PSU lineups, the Toughpower SFX series, which is designed to meet ATX 3.0 standards and is PCIe Gen 5.0 ready. Designed to run with the RTX 40-series series graphics cards and the latest Intel CPUs, the Toughpower series comes with an SFX-sized form factor and fits in the mainstream ATX and ITX cases, which is essential for users looking to put together a smaller-footprint build. The following are the Toughpower SFX series's dimension for your reference. 750 W & 850 W: 125 mm (W)x63.5 mm (H)x100 mm (D); 1000 W: 125 mm (W)x63.5 mm (H)x126 mm (D). The voltage regulation, more strict than Intel's standard +5%,-7% for major rails and ±10% for -12 V, is set to no more than ±2% for major rails, providing steady clean power through exceptional voltage stability. Thanks to its super compact SFX size, the Revolt SFX is ideal for small form factor chassis. This PSU boasts a length of only 100mm, freeing up space for cable management and airflow. Both of which are essential in small PC cases. FULLY MODULAR The fans audible noise is nearly silence at 100% operation. This creates the perfect balance between silence and superior cooling. Furthermore, with the Smart Zero Fan, the fan will not spin until the load exceeds 30% of the power supply, minimizing the fan noise. Corsair are keen to point out that lowering noise is one of their key focus points with the SF750. Many small form factor power supplies are equipped with a tiny 80mm fan, which are typically known to generate a lot of noise. By moving to a 90mm fan, they are able to spin the fan slower while producing good levels of airflow – all while reducing noise emissions. They also state that due to careful component selection that coil whine will not be a problem. I will test this out later. Other compromises include a rifle-bearing fan, a semi-modular PSU design, and a relatively short five-year warranty. None of these are deal-breakers, but they definitely reflect the BM2’s budget price. Bronze efficiency isn’t great either, but acceptable in this price range. Next we want to try Cross Loading. This basically means loads which are not balanced. If a PC for instance needs 500W on the +12V outputs but something like 30W via the combined 3.3V and +5V outputs then the voltage regulation can fluctuate badly. Cross Load TestingPhanteks has just launched its all-new Evolv Shift XT expanding ITX chassis and Revolt SFX series power supplies. The Evolv Shift XT takes a fresh approach to small form factor builds with its adjustable height. Three configurations are possible depending on the amount of cooling you need or desire.
