Description

The simple switch of the kangaroo leather to more high use zones, the impressively executed combination/build of the different upper materials, and the feeling of being a speed boot style with super supple leather means that there’s not much about this boot that we’d ask PUMA to alter. Would it feel out of place in a speed, comfort or touch market? Yeah it probably would, but that’s the whole point. PUMA don’t want you to have one attribute while sacrificing others, and the ONE 5.1 nails that. Some serious work has gone into this update instead of just a mere name update. The kangaroo leather has had its placement changed, the collar and evoKnit feels a bit thinner, and the Sprintweb on the lateral side of the boot is a dramatic change. In fact, it looks like the soleplate is the only thing we’re really getting that’s a direct counterpart to the last model. Grip matters, but control counts too. A premium K-Leather upper provides a “second-skin” fit that will stretch to conform to your foot’s unique shape. Along with strike zone texturing, this material will give you superb ball feel while you dribble, pass, and shoot. PUMA’s evoKnit technology makes these soccer cleats lightweight and breathable, which helps you feel energized, all match long. SPRINTWEB technology, along with a FUSEFIT lacing system ensures your PUMA Ones will fit like a glove. The soleplate is labelled as the RAPIDSPRINT outsole, and it finally feels like this name actually works with the build of the ONE. PUMA have made sure that the boot has enough flex to let your foot bend naturally while giving the responsiveness a modern football boot demands, and it doesn’t hurt the comfort level of the ONE. The midfoot portion of the soleplate is ready to handle the demands of a long season while still making sure that you’re going to avoid those nasty hotspots underfoot that we’ve had with some boots.

Is this the best speed boot out there? No. The Nike Mercurial Superfly is the best in this category with its amazing fit and responsive feel while the adidas X18 is a close second with an infinitely more comfortable upper. Mauricio Pochettino shared that he was “angry and disappointed” after watching Chelsea’s 4-1 Premier League defeat at Newcastle on Saturday, 25 November. There’s only one thing that differentiates the One 1 Leather from the One 1 Synthetic and that’s the kangaroo leather toe box. Beyond soft and supple out of the box, the k-leather becomes even softer and more comfortable as you break in the boots. The bumpy-looking texture on the toe box is the internal support liner reinforcing the leather, which is a step up from stitched leather like we saw on the Puma One 17.1. We’ve even seen Adidas make the switch from a stitched k-leather toe box on the Copa 17.1 to an internal support cage on the Copa 18.1; it makes a pretty significant difference when it comes to durability. While the liner has a bumpy texture, you don’t feel the bumps on the ball or on your feet. Instead, you get a smooth, padded, soft kangaroo leather touch on the ball, and what more could you ask for? A stud pattern that works well on FG (firm natural ground) and AG (artificial ground) surfaces will always get the BOOTHYPE seal of approval from me and the Puma One 19.1 passes this test with flying colours. There was no stud pressure when playing on AG surfaces and works equally well on FG. Since those humble beginnings, our endeavour has blossomed into a robust and trusted online retailer, representing the leading brands in the golf industry. We take immense pride in being your go-to destination for all things golf!Ed Sheeran was spotted congratulating Katie Taylor after her victory over Chantelle Cameron in Dublin to become undisputed light-welterweight champion on Saturday, 25 November. Sorry to disappoint Puma fanboys out there but the Puma One 19.1 has been a tad underwhelming. Aside from its aforementioned identity crisis, it doesn’t perform excellently in any aspects that it wants to contend in. The ample space in the forefoot made the touch feel sloppy but the leather was surprisingly comfortable with a nice padded sensation when passing. It could have been softer out of the box but give it a couple of sessions and it should be broken in fully by then. However, with the previous generation providing one of the softest leather uppers from the get go, I don’t know why they switched out the leather to an inferior one. After putting the One 1 Leather through its paces, I’m quite impressed with how it performs. It feels more solidly built compared to previous generations, and even with the padded sensation you get from the kangaroo leather, you still get a close to the ball feel in true “speed boot” fashion. The front toe is reinforced with a sandpaper-feel material to protect that ‘sweet’ spot where the upper attaches to the soleplate, also know as the high wear zone. When cleats separate, this is typically where it happens, so Puma added a more rugged finish for better durability. Moving to the base of the boot, the One 1 features a RapidAgility soleplate and an external heel counter. This completely redesigned soleplate is very lightweight and responsive, unlike the previous generation’s which felt too stiff. This is a huge improvement as it provides much better flexibility especially through the forefoot area.

One of the key features of the Puma GS One Golf Shoes is their unrivaled comfort. Made with a soft and breathable mesh upper, these shoes offer a snug and comfortable fit, allowing you to focus on your game without any distractions. Additionally, the shoes feature a SoftFoam+ insole, which provides unparalleled cushioning and support, making it easy to stay on your feet for longer periods of time. Striking and passing with the ONE are also a dream as that leather offers that warm punch that every player looks for. Striking higher on the boot where the evoKnit sits absolutely launches off your foot because of how thin he knitted portion is on this boot. Bringing the ball out of the air, hitting that crossfield ping are all satisfyingly met by the leather feel. One of our fears was that the three very different sections of the boot would be a rough combination (evoKnit, kangaroo leather, and Sprintweb), instead, the liner helps make all the sections of the boot feel smooth and ready to go. The Puma GS One Golf Shoes are also engineered for performance. The shoes feature a durable and grippy outsole, which provides excellent traction on any terrain, ensuring that you can maintain stability and control throughout your swing. The shoes also feature a low profile design, which offers greater stability and balance, allowing you to execute your shots with greater accuracy. The PUMA One 20, as well as the popular 5.1 design, feature state-of-the-art technology. PUMA has been an industry leader since the modern soccer boot was invented, and these new cleats are the product of decades of refinement. We all know how important great grip is on the pitch—a slip at the wrong time could cost your team the game. PUMA One soccer cleats for FG or AG surfaces feature a RAPIDSPRINT outsole that’s crafted to provide traction in all directions while maximizing power transfer.Getting these laced up shows a great initial squeeze through the midfoot that makes this boot fit much lower and closer than we would have expected from its silhouette. There are many things we had expected from the ONE when we laced them up, but feeling like we were sitting low in a proper speed boot was not one of them...but, here we are. When you are slipping these on, know that the collar doesn’t have as much stretch as we expected from the always soft evoKnit, but we had no issues slipping them on (will brands ever realise how much we all love a heel tab?) Welcome to The Golf Shop Online, where our passion for golf drives us to provide you with an exceptional shopping experience! Once you do start demanding the ball, the ONE continues to impress. The kangaroo leather that covers nearly every area of the forefoot and instep where you’d receive the ball is surprisingly thin, giving an impressively intimate feel for the ball. The thin lines that show under the leather that make up an inner support cage don’t change the feel for the ball. Any boot that gives us as much leather as possible without excess stitching is going to have us with fairly high hopes.

At The Golf Shop Online, we are dedicated to offering you the most competitive prices. We continually compare our prices with those of our competitors to ensure you receive the best possible deal. In the rare event that you find a lower price elsewhere, we even provide a price promise* to further enhance your shopping experience.
